There's a lot of people upset that they have no justifiable reason to still Taylor bash.

You may have hit the nail on the head

Taylor has to cop some of the criticsm for losses, if he is going accept the accolades for success. The nature of the game, for all coaches not just ours. Hope this year it is the latter.

That's fine, no ones saying he's immuned. But keep it in perspective, no need to call for his head after 1 or 2 losses.

It's very early days so we need to forget what happened last year look forward to this season and start with a positive train of thought
We can't keep banging on about all the rubbish from last year , we won our first game against a team we are not meant to beat , yes we had a sleep in the middle but we got the points in my opinion that's 2 points we would have lost last year and if we keep just getting 2 points each match so be it , negativity at this point is not required we have recruited well on a budget , boys look fit , some new recruites pushing into first grade , we won without 3 good players in Brooks , Farah , Balin , plus others ( Edwards ) .
We need to wait until at least round 6 or 7 to see where we are , some of you guys may get a shock at where we are , take a big breath and enjoy the Tigers

Come off it!

He has been copping the criticsm it on here for 12 months - especially after losses.

Now you say he has to cop it for the losses because he is getting a few accolades for this win.

Don't begrudge him a couple of accolades - I am sure the knives will be out after the first loss.

This is a disgrace.

We had a win missing half our spine against a full strength side with plenty of quality players and some are laying the boot in.

This forum is full of masochists.

Cut it out Russ of course he does. I havnt begrudged Taylor anything. He wants to win more than anyone - but last year he didnt. This year if he as a great year he will be judged by that, and rightly so.

Yep perfect start for the club. Some of our weaknesses have obviously been worked on. Good to see. Still plenty to do but we're pointing in the right direction.

The Skill level is high in this team. Woods does things that other prop aren't. Siro and Lawrence are backrowers that has more dimensions to their game. Simona, Kev and Nofoaluma are skilful outside backs. Then there is Teddy, Brooks and Moses.
The other thing we have is depth, in all grades.

We have a decent team. There is no reason we can't have a good year.

They have done well in that dept.

The basic premise of the gripe, why didn't he let them play like this last year!

I was a big critic of a number of our tactics last year, and am happy we seem to be playing much more expansively this year. JT Dally m coach of the year

It will be interesting if the relatively similar side perform vastly different to last year.

Most of the Team should be better players this year. The likes of Brooks, Moses, Lovett,Sue , Cherrington especially.
Even Lawerence and Sirro will be better 2nd rowers .
Woods, Teddy and Kev all played well last year, in a busted team.
Simonia & Nofo look fit and healthy this year. Last year they were mostly injured. Or playing at 70%.
We are still a young side on the way up, unlike Manly who are on the decline .

Still should have taken the two.

At such an early stage I was afraid that taking two would give impression that they were already closing the game down due to being afraid of a comeback and running out of puff, sort of limiting their horizons. But I also appreciate taking two is a good psychological for the Warriors needing 4 tries to catch them.

Please, I would hope fellow forumers, that if it's not offensive, you'd feel free to say WHATEVER you feel is relevant to the Wests Tigers, whether we win or lose…
