So who's still confident about 2011???

We would be doing a lot better without the injuries… Lote and Chris are our main side of attack and we don't any other 'dominant' backs to go to. Like Ayshfords a good player but he wont run a hole like Lawrence does.

But just think if the injury toll becomes smaller and hopefully it will. With everyone who is injured at the moment due back from 1 - 5 weeks , the team gets a few games together with a few weeks left ( it looks a fairly easy path with a two challenging games but from round 20\. We verse the Roosters (14th) Manly (3rd) Dragons (2nd) Panthers (10th) Eels (13th) Titans (16th) Sharks (12th). Those last four games may give us some momentum into the finals.

So i think if the injuries keep up we won't do anything - if we have a few good weeks without much injuries anything is possible

I'm confident every year until it's mathematically impossible, and then I pray for a miracle…

Remember thinking that in 09 I think we could still make the eight if one of the particular team had 14 players on the field so they would be stripped of their points . Taped the game and spent hours watching it trying to find an indescetion No luck though

i remember in 09 we were a snowballs chance, and took out a slightly drunken 50 dollar bet at 7 dollars that we would make the 8 (let alone win) in round 17.

I watched as the tigers roared up the table, and needed some unlikely results to go our way. The cronulla team we had smashed 56-10 had to beat manly in the 2nd last round, to give us a hope, as we had just lost a dodgy game to the titans. (some tough calls in that one)

I watched as the sharkies clung on to a 16-12 lead with 12 players. luke douglas had been sent off for a high shot.

The sinking feeling sunk in.

sure enough, Manly spun the ball wide, and Ben farrer goes over to make it 18-16 With 60 seconds to go.

Damn, would have been the sportbet of the century…

FFS, If its not the knights kicking penalty goals with a minute to go in the final round, when they didn't actually need to take the shot, as they were well outside the 8, to dodgy decisions in other games, we have been hard done by in the past IMO.

2011 will go down as the year the Board destroyed our chances. With the roster we have it should have been a big year. Our two recent home losses against beatable sides were only slightly worse that our 2 previous wins remember. The boys just arent playing for each other and that is a huge problem. If it is a coaching or combination problem you can fix it, when it is attitude problem that is hard to turn around. They just dont look happy and that scares me.

So many things have been against us this year, with injuries to start the year off & getting worse as the year goes on. Then touch & go with the coach going or staying & the players wanting him to stay, then when thats a done deal we flog canberra & then they start letting players go who they only re-signed a couple of months before. Istill cant believe we are still in the 8 & a chance of making the 8, the Blair signing or non signing still dragging on has got me beat. One thing i do know i will be out there barracking for them but you need a big heart to follow them.

Its amazing when you look back on it like that isnt it?

Been an absolute disaster of a season so far yet we are still a chance. So disappointing.

with all the crap injuries rumours inside info and still in the 8 witha bye this week and most of the boys coming back in the next 2-3 weeks, we will will win the comp, everyone leaving will finally gee the boys up and go all way still have heaps of faith.

The only positive out of the alst few weeks including the newcastle game our defense has been fairly solid thats alwasya decent sign they are still palying with a bit of ticker, hopefully the attack begins to flow

We are coming 8th despite a huge injury toll…..get some perspective people.

Im very confident we will be in the 8 at the end of the year. From there it will depend on what shape our squad is in, im hopeful we will win a game or 2 in the semies and it will go down as a good year

I'm with you Goose. Despite the mid-season offloading and rumoured signing(s,) and a terrible injury toll which has just about consumed our strike left hand side, to think we're still placed seventh is pretty good. I doubt that Manly could function so well with said injuries.

If we do actually go all the way, it will go down as the bravest and most courageous Premiership win in History, bar none.

Was hopeful at the start of the year then after about 8 rounds we just looked the same as every year, still the same dumb plays and dumb mistakes nothing has changed, now i think we have no chance in hell but the good thing is it looks like the big clean out is finally happening. One thing i didn't expect was to be thinking about next season so soon.

TIGER - you should change your username to HAPPY. It'd work.

Someone called Whats up now Tiger05 I have not written us off just yet We will make the 8 more than likely but if the current She(e)ningans are still floating around we won't go far in the Semis

If we make the 8 anything is possible.

For the record Sheens is a genius when the big games come around. If we make the 8 we can win the comp.

I not confident but decided to make my annual bet on the tigers this week.

Got 17-1 to win the comp for what it's worth. We were always way to short in the early betting markets considering the injury gods don't like us.

i think we'll make the 8 comfortably enough, but how far we go from there i'm not too sure. Maybe the 2nd week at best..

A few wins will strengthen their resolve, as we get closer to the business end of the season I think they'll realise that with Payten and Gibbs moving on they have one last crack for the 2005 boys to go out on a high.

The WTs high injury toll coupled with the Sheens signing delay, the shedding of players saga and the fact that some key players aren't playing at top form have all contributed to a very rough season so far. However, a key positive is that WTs have been able to cling to 8th spot despite the setbacks. We are due for some good fortune and so with the return of injured players, a realisation that for some it will be a final opportunity to play with mates and a renewed focus on the goal of succeeding, I am of the view that WTs will make the final eight.

I am still confident that we can make the finals in 2011, we certainly proved it last year because we won games which we should of probably lost. If we can do the same thing in 2011 we could make the finals because we are hanging on by a thread at the moment sitting in 8th position.
