Agree with pretty much all the comments here… I don't think anyone's saying Taylor's a great coach... Not me anyway... But he's allwe got... We can't keep punting coaches... That gets us nowhere except back to square one.
Someone has to make the tough decisions... It's never going to be easy

mate i too agree you can not keep punting coaches.
picking the right coach for a club is a mamoth job.
BUT you cannot have a coach that comes in and does what hes does when hes taken the team to bottom of the table.
thats the real issue.

if the tigers were making the 8 this year and he had made a similar type dicision - handled a lot better of corse - i think you would have seen a different reaction.
now, unfortunately - you will be losing another coach

It's good the board are backing Taylor in his tenure and not letting tiger so called fan dictate anything. Hopefully this shows divednds in futue.

We want someone to come in here, clean all the crap up that former managment have put in place and sort out the playing roster.
That's until someone comes here and actually does it. Then it's a disgrace.

A couple of things from my side:

- This forum makes up a percentage of the WT fans. Current forum numbers circa 4800, current member numbers in Jan were ~6000 (from a previous thread). So if every forumer were a member we'd still have a bunch of people, at a minimum, that just love the club. Doesn't include those non-members who are WT fans. I think this viewpoint is more representative of the tragic's; from the kids and some of the armchair fans (my Dad as an example) would look at it from another point of view; they just want the WT to win a premiership and don't care how it happens.
- I, in my heart of hearts, believe that JT has made the right decision; irrespective of my respect for Robbie (in particular). I do not agree however, with the handling. You could see the dissatisfaction in Robbie not of the decision, but of the inability now to say a proper goodbye at Leichardt. Pat Richards and Big Red given the opportunity and Robbie's manager knew at this time that he could potentially be punted. Poor form. This would appear completely in JT"s and Robbie's managers control; both parties at fault.

I think everyone on here agree's with the **why**, maybe just not the **how**.

What have they actually done by this decision that has benefited anyone! If it was about money and easing the salary cap pressures - epic fail. If it was about attracting new players - epic fail. If it was about getting rid of Robbie Farah at the moment - epic fail. If it was about creating a stable environment for the players and providing the fans some hope that success is not far way- epic fail. If it was about making us look the most inept club in the competition at the moment- congratulations achieved.

Disagree.

They are easing the salary cap - The number of players that have gone have eased the pressure. If Farah gets another club we have eased it even further. PASS

We cannot attract new players as there is no money (thanks to previous administration) so we are not buying new players and back ending contracts. PASS

They have got rid of Robbie Farah - he will not play NRL next year for the Tigers. PASS

The reason is disruption to the NRL team, he will not be in it. If they carry it further then they should not pick him for NSW Cup and cause more disruption. This will cause a more stable environment. PASS.

They have indicated to all and sundry that they are now a responsible club, that they will not take rubbish and destabilising people in the club. They have indicated that they are rebuilding a great club from the ground up - all these attributes do not indicate ineptitude but a responsible, stable environment for the youngsters of tomorrow that we have the best of. PASS

I personally think its pretty obvious that we will not be compensated for losing Robbie in terms of money saved versus playing ability that we gain.

I'd give him credit for making a tough decision if he had the balls to come out and state his real reasons. Instead he craps on about salary cap and tries to portray his faux respect for the captain.

Just say the guy isn't playing well, his body is slowing down and I don't get on with him. That is justification. Screwing a player out of his contract which seems signed in a way that helped the club at the time is wrong.

Farah will get his money. He is not being screwed out of anything. It just remains to be seen whether it will be at Wests or elsewhere, and how much is paid out by us.

Didn't say one word about him being screwed out of his money. Please understand a post before commenting on it.

I said screwed out of his contract. Playing for Wests Tigers means more to him then money. He has demonstrated that a number of times over the years.

I don't think he'll be going anywhere tbh, he's been told he'll play Origin next year regardless what grade he's in and as long as he shows this type of stuff…..........not sure he can be kept in the lower grades anyway.

Give him next year, that'll give him time to find a club and pick up some easy cash in England for a few more years.

You don't actually buy that do you?

Daley knows he's not going to play reserve grade, so he has the freedom to say it.

It's not up to me to buy it, it's up to Robbie to buy it

In any event, if Robbie does get dropped to the lower grades, do you think Lozz would turn back on what he said?

He probably would if it eventuated. Daley sees a situation here though where he knows he can come out smelling like roses by announcing he'll stand by Farah no matter what. It won't come to that and Loz knows it.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. After today's performance in a key match, why don't we extend his contract another 2 years?

Gary how did the game look from Vegas? It was classic magpie stuff from the view I had. Season over tackle hard first 20 then some awesome wazza ball. Only 6,000 but the beer fridge was empty at fulltime. Campbelltown I luv it.

Fantastic global advertisement for Campbelltown. I heard some bloke scream "I want black" but not sure if that was in reference to the game.

Some of you blokes are off yer heads.

Taylor is a complete dud…..sucked the life right out of us.....blind Freddie could see it.

You coach to yer strengths...good coaches realize where there advantage is. Not try to change how they play cos the stats dont lie....dumb dumb dumb.

Why anyone would have faith in him is beyond me.

Why anyone would want him to stay and Robbie to go beggars belief!

What are our strengths? We cannot tackle that's a given. So what should we concentrate on ?

I was saying they played pathetically. All out for 60 before lunch then trailing by heaps by the days end. Was I wrong? You just nail them continuously. Big difference.

Anyway you've obviously been waiting a while to bring that up…congrats you got it off your chest. Now what are we going to do about your wrong opinions re Robbie? I've noticed you have started the backtrack. I'll be interested to see where that leads.

I'd like to know what you're on about re: the cricket, but i don't want to take this thread any further off track, so i'll let that go through to the keeper.

As for Farah, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't aren't you. Had i disappeared you'd have been laying the boot in asking where i was, but i manned up and gave him some credit, but that's still not good enough in your eyes.

On the contrary. I said exactly that you did in another thread.
