Round wrap up : 2 out of 6 players are through to Round 8 . Very good Contest going on here with very good Competition .

If you have a green colour on your Round 1 side your obviously through to Round 2 and need to make a selection for Round 2 , if you have Red across the team you have selected then you have been Eliminated from Comp # 1 but don't worry as once this Comp has finished Comp # 2 will start and we start the Process all over again .
With this new System that i have put in place you have to break up from picking the same opponent for more than 2 weeks running which means the 3rd week you need to choose a different opponent.....it's to avoid picking of a week link like last year Everyone identified Aston Villa as the team that was getting beat nearly every week and kept choosing them as there Opponent .

Remember for the new players that have come on board this year you can't pick the same side that you have chosen in Comp # 1 which is the current Comp being played , once you have selected a side you can't pick them again during that Comp , once we have identified a winner for the 1st Comp then the Process starts again and Comp # 2 for e.g you can pick a side that you have chosen in Comp # 1 as it will be a new Comp.

Saudis away is probably the toughest game on the schedule and we took a point. A win against Japan will have us in prime position to take a spot. With the Saudis playing the UAE we can open up a nice gap at the top with a W on Tuesday. As long as we don't drop points at home or against the weaker teams away we should be fine. 21 points will be enough to see us through, and we are on track for that.

It is also worth noting that the third place play off winners play North America, which would not be the death sentence that South American could be (especially with the likes of Chile & Argentina not doing so well over there).

A loss and a few other unusual results and we could be back with the pack very quickly
 
thank god… montolivo is out for 6 months so ac milan have a chance to win games and push for champions league. 2 years of consistantly terrible performances as well being milans captain

Definitely, I was hoping Japan would just blow everyone else away. I would take 4 points from our two fixtures against them, which would be a win in Melbourne and a draw over there. This window was always going to be our toughest fixture pair, so if we come out on top we are set, this group is definitely tougher than what we usually get at this stage.

Definitely, I was hoping Japan would just blow everyone else away. I would take 4 points from our two fixtures against them, which would be a win in Melbourne and a draw over there. At least we are still the masters of our own destiny

I reckon after the long round trip in oppressive conditions we will be happy with the point MM
 
Japan dropping the points against the UAE at home has worked in our favour as it gives us a 3 point buffer that we ordinarily wouldn't have had, so we could afford to lose to the Japanese away now and still be in the running to take the group out (assuming we drop no points at home, and take the bikkies against all the other remaining teams away.) I have a suspicion we'll draw one or two more games, and likely lose away to Japan. That would see us finish between 21-23 points.

We need to take the win tomorrow though. The Arab nations will pilfer points from each other and I can't see Thailand beating anyone. I still think us and the Japanese will compete for first and second spots.
 
Oh, and I have to say it: Great start to the year for SFC.

Bit early to write WSW off though, they're notoriously bad starters. The Japanese fella looks to be a good buy, very zippy and hard to run off the ball for a little fella.
