How are the Rangers going these days after their demotion?

They got demoted to the Scottish fourth division in 2012 after they went broke, got back up to the first division by 2016, and won their first title since the demotion this year!

They're currently champions and Steven Gerrard (former Liverpool legend) is their manager.

You and England have got my interest in Soccer going again.
I went to quite a few games when South Coast United, Apia, St George Budapest, Hakoah etc were around.
I even went to a Aust V Croatia ??? World Cup Qualifier played at the old Sydney Sports Ground.
They were GREAT days.
A mate of mine at the time could have gone on to play for Aust as goal keeper, but even though he was a good guy he was also stupid.
He had long hair and dabbled in drugs.
He was keeping the bloke that did become the Aust goalkeeper out of 1st grade, cant remember his name though.
My mate refused to get his hair cut, coaches orders, was dropped and that was the end of what could and should have been a great career for Australia.

And a garbage final to boot now. Asking who you want to win between Italy and England is like asking which leg do you want amputated.

And even the Kane Plane almost missed it ......final will be a 0-0 borefest ...and then the Poms will choke in a penalty shoot out

Then expect about 4 days of rioting

I hope they bottle it just to watch the lunacy that will ensue. After seeing those disgusting posts from English fans in reply to a picture of a German girl (she would have been 9-10 years old tops,) crying I want to see them done like a dinner. Fans like that deserve no celebration.

But yuh cant hold responsible the 90% of decent fans
for the sins of a few mongrels.

Great to read your post champion @magpie1963 - my eldest son was in the UK a few years back and all his friends there were Tottenham Spurs fans, so we changed as a family from general fans to (sort of) rusted on Spurs fans back here in Oz (only fair since I reared everyone to be Magpies - then Wests Tigers hahaha).

There dasus I really like the EPL and the generally attacking style of footy.
I even spend a bit of time doing the fantasy comps as I just like watching the progress of all the players.

But getting back to your post, the football support overseas is addictive.
I love the singing, the chanting and the complete immersion - sport is a great balance for life generally.

Rangers being demoted shows no one or no team can be at the top and win all the time.

Yep, Celtic had won 9 seasons in a row before Rangers won it this season.

Very, very uneven competition in Scotland; the last time a team other than Rangers or Celtic won the league was Aberdeen in 1985!
