Thanks for posting this @tiger_one.
You and England have got my interest in Soccer going again.
I went to quite a few games when South Coast United, Apia, St George Budapest, Hakoah etc were around.
I even went to a Aust V Croatia ??? World Cup Qualifier played at the old Sydney Sports Ground.
They were GREAT days.
A mate of mine at the time could have gone on to play for Aust as goal keeper, but even though he was a good guy he was also stupid.
He had long hair and dabbled in drugs.
He was keeping the bloke that did become the Aust goalkeeper out of 1st grade, cant remember his name though.
My mate refused to get his hair cut, coaches orders, was dropped and that was the end of what could and should have been a great career for Australia.

Great to read your post champion @magpie1963 - my eldest son was in the UK a few years back and all his friends there were Tottenham Spurs fans, so we changed as a family from general fans to (sort of) rusted on Spurs fans back here in Oz (only fair since I reared everyone to be Magpies - then Wests Tigers hahaha).

There dasus I really like the EPL and the generally attacking style of footy.
I even spend a bit of time doing the fantasy comps as I just like watching the progress of all the players.

But getting back to your post, the football support overseas is addictive.
I love the singing, the chanting and the complete immersion - sport is a great balance for life generally.

Thanks @tiger_one.

As I have been a Wests Magpies supporter since 1963 [as well as Wests Tigers of course since 2000] I have supported or taken an interest in any Magpies team being Western Suburbs when they had a Aussie Rules team and Collingwood in the now A.F.L.
Also Newcastle in England, but not for a few years now.
Did N'castle get demoted a couple of years ago? and how are they going now?
I think Juventus in Italy is also black 'n white?
And last but not least the Richmond Tigers.
What an amazing rags to riches story that is.

I haven't been on here for ages but I assume you mean
It's Coming Home To ENGLAND :facepunch: :flag-gb:

That term was used in regards to them winning the 66 World Cup

As for the European championship they’ve never won it

Thanks @hobbo1 .
Wow, the Poms have had a bad run haven't they.
I can imagine mass hooliganism from the rat bag element of the English fans if they lose this one.

Guaranteed .....none will be from Green Street either ...mainly Spurs and Millwall fans

Not since you pussies sold out for Olympic stadium

I certainly agree :100: re the singing and chanting @tiger_one.

If we could get a responsible mob to get that started with Wests Tigers, that would be something unique and positive for Our Club that could get more people interested in attending games regularly.
And it sounds like You may be the guy to at least give some tips in that regard.

One of the Wiggles is a supporter and may be interested in writing some quality stuff for Us.
I wonder if @cochise could be persuaded to 'Ambush' him.

And in finishing, I love the Viking Clap and horn the Raiders have, being something every Raiders fan can enjoy.

Most likely an inside job ?
In saying that there wouldn’t be too many wham players that could tell the time .

I think we have offered Lingards watch for Harry Kane

I’d be surprised if Kane goes tbh
100m sterling transfer fee then 13.5m annual salary ?

:astonished: What has English Soccer turned into.
How could the average fan afford to even go?

On averages it’s only $55 …

So where does the money come from to pay the exorbitant wages the players get?

Broadcast deals
Commercial Sponsorship
Merchandise
Wealthy owners
Image rights

Ok...Wow...We do all that except for the wealthy owner, but they obviously have more supporters to pay $$$ for the merchandise etc.
Do the wealthy owners make $$$ if they sell the club.
How is the club going Elton John supported, was it Watford?

Postecoglou taking charge of Celtic? Totally random haha

How are the Rangers going these days after their demotion?

They got demoted to the Scottish fourth division in 2012 after they went broke, got back up to the first division by 2016, and won their first title since the demotion this year!

They're currently champions and Steven Gerrard (former Liverpool legend) is their manager.

Thanks @KingRobbie.
Good on em for having the guts and determination to fight there way back to the top 'so quickly'.
Did Celtic win it every year since 2012?
Rangers being demoted shows no one or no team can be at the top and win all the time.
A mate of mine follows Arsenal.
A few years ago they couldn't be beaten.
I haven't heard of them for quite a while now.
Wests Tiger's fans **dont despair** as We are ready to fight Our way to the TOP again.

Yep, Celtic had won 9 seasons in a row before Rangers won it this season.

Very, very uneven competition in Scotland; the last time a team other than Rangers or Celtic won the league was Aberdeen in 1985!

:flushed: How and why does Soccer survive in Scotland that being the case.
You'd think the other team supporters would have given up in disgust long ago leaving it as a 2 team comp.
