The Wellington Phoenix spoil Sydney FC's homecoming to claim a statement 2 zip win at Allianz Stadium

Sydney FC’s homecoming to Allianz Stadium didn't go to plan as a ten-man Sky Blues (a lunging tackle from Youlley caught Najjarine on the ankle and referee Sam Kelly produced the red card) lost 2-0 to goals in either half by the Wellington Phoenix.

Disappointing, obviously they prefer Leichhardt Oval !

Haji Wright was Coventry City's goal scoring hero once again as his late winner against Millwall stretched the Sky Blues' lead at the top of the Championship to eight points.

The USA forward's strike was tough on Millwall and Alex Neil's side showed enormous fight to level through Mihailo Ivanovic.

Final score finishing 2-1 to Coventry over Millwall

Oxford United and Queens Park Rangers both recorded their second goalless draw in four days, in difficult conditions at the Kassam Stadium.

Rangers had the clearest chance of the first half, when U's keeper Jamie Cumming brilliantly denied Paul Smyth's bending effort.

One worry for QPR was an injury to 19-year-old Esquerdinha, who was stretchered off after 64 minutes.
