  • Rayan Cherki gives Manchester City lead with brilliant solo effort
  • Kai Havertz equalises 107 seconds later after Gianluiga Donnarumma mistake
  • Erling Haaland scores winner from close range

Manchester City closed in ominously on Premier League leaders Arsenal with victory in a thrilling encounter at Etihad Stadium.

Erling Haaland's second-half strike proved decisive on an afternoon of gripping tension to leave City only three points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

In a game where both sides created big opportunities, Rayan Cherki, who had already hit a post, showed supreme footwork and skill in a tight penalty area to put City ahead.

Arsenal equalised only 107 seconds later when City keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma hesitated before striking a panic-stricken clearance in off the incoming Kai Havertz.

Haaland struck a post for City after the break, while Eberechi Eze did likewise and Donnarumma saved crucially from Havertz before Haaland swooped in trademark fashion from close range to put Pep Guardiola's side back in front.

Defender Gabriel saw a header deflected on to a post as Arsenal tried to respond, with Havertz missing a glorious headed chance before City closed out a win as they continue to reel in the Gunners.

Faaaaaar Out
the gunners are going to crap the bed in the EPL

last leg of a multi too

Can you someone please clarify if Lee H, and Justin P are involved with the Newcastle A League organisation ?
I vaguely remember seeing something quite a while back and wondered if it was true, and are they still involved ?
Lee H and.Justin P are a part of newcastle United correct.
With the success of newcastle United looks like they were held back by HBG and Dennis and his crew too

Champion @Jedi_Tiger,
Mate - sorry about the multi but there's still hope, you're still in the game;
But would you like to trade places with Hammers or Spurs fans??
That is beyond horrible!!
It is an unusual situation, Arsenal could come second and their fans will be so upset, yet the fans of either West Ham/Spurs (whoever survives) will be over the moon.

can the gunners hang on ? what do you and Happy think as soccer experts ?
I'm no expert .....just hoping we beat Crystal Palace tomorrow .....was hoping Arsenal would have the EPL won by the time they faced WHU 😆
I think it could come down to Goal Difference .....it will be that close
