Cyle Larin scored a goal in each half to help Southampton thrash Millwall 5-1 at St Mary's.

A deflected Mark Sykes strike put the Lions ahead early on before the Canadian headed the equaliser.

Finn Azaz struck to make it 2-1 before half-time and a Leo Scienza penalty, Larin's second, and a Tom Fellows shot wrapped up the win.

Southampton's points total is now positive as they move up to 17th with two points after beginning the campaign on minus four, while the visitors are fifth after a first defeat.

Sykes scored inside 15 minutes to give Millwall the lead, his deflected effort deceiving keeper Daniel Peretz after good work by Josh Coburn in the build-up.

Saints soon kicked into gear and Larin nodded them level 10 minutes later, meeting Ryan Manning's free-kick for his third goal of the season.

Azaz completed the first-half turnaround seven minutes before the break, but it was all about Scienza. The Brazilian's mazy run opened up the opportunity before feeding the midfielder, who applied the finish.

Kyrell Lisbie almost restored parity for Millwall with half-time looming, but struck the post from Tairyk Arconte's cross.

Scienza put the home side 3-1 up from the penalty spot on 55 minutes after Jake Cooper fouled Azaz in the area.

Larin's second just after the hour was a stunning effort, the forward flicking the ball over his head before lashing home brilliantly to put Saints in total control.

A wonderful afternoon for the home side was topped off when Fellows completed the rout four minutes from time with a tame shot which trickled over the line.

The Hammers and Watford share the points in a game of chances, the final score being 1-1.

Watford withstood huge second half pressure from West Ham to maintain their unbeaten start to the Championship season and keep the Hammers winless.

The Hornets took the lead with a lovely solo effort from Amin Nabizada - his second goal of the new campaign.

West Ham were then gifted an equaliser following a mistake from defender Kevin Keben resulting in an own goal by Mattie Pollock.

The Hammers streamed forward in the second half with chances for Jarrod Bowen, the impressive Manor Solomon, Arne Engels and Joel Piroe, but they were unable to find a winner.

The draw leaves new Watford boss Alessio Dionisi with five points from his opening three league matches, whilst West Ham have two draws and a defeat.

We should have lost this game we out played Watford but could not turn it into consistent shoots on target.

Jimmy Dunne scored QPR's winner as they came from behind to beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Ryoya Morishita's spectacular strike put the hosts ahead early in the second half, but Paul Smyth equalised less than two minutes later.

Dunne headed home Tariq Lamptey's cross to clinch the points for Rangers, who are enjoying an impressive start to their campaign.

Julien Stephan's side remain unbeaten in the Championship this season and have won both their away matches.

Very good

Chelsea defeat Brighton 4-3 in a game that always looked like finishing well for the home side.

Chelsea maintained their perfect start to the new Premier League season as they held on to defeat Brighton in an entertaining match at Stamford Bridge.

Romeo Lavia's first goal in a Chelsea shirt handed the Blues a dream start in Xabi Alonso's first home league game in charge.

Brighton were made to pay for a costly error inside four minutes as Mats Wieffer did well on the goalline to block Joao Pedro's header from a corner but goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen then fumbled to allow an easy tap-in for Lavia.

Their lead was doubled 10 minutes later when Morgan Rogers got the better of Brighton's record signing Luka Vuskovic on the left and crossed in for Pedro Neto to get in front of Ferdi Kadioglu and prod home.

The Seagulls were caught out again in the 32nd minute. This time left wing-back Jorrel Hato beat Wieffer for pace and found Joao Pedro to make it 3-0 against his former club.

But the visitors valiantly fought back to give themselves a glimmer of hope.

They pulled one back before the break as Chelsea debutant Emi Martinez came off his line to deny Charalampos Kostoulas and Malick Yalcouye volleyed in the loose ball.

Brighton started the second half strongly and reduced the deficit further in the 63rd minute when Yalcouye played in Pascal Gross, whose shot took a big deflection off Joao Pedro to beat Martinez.

Cole Palmer eased Chelsea's nerves with a brilliant individual goal, curling past Verbruggen from outside the box to restore his side's two-goal lead in the 74th minute.

Brighton found a third goal from virtually the final action of the game as Gross headed past Martinez, but Fabian Hurzeler's side could not complete their comeback.

Leeds United and Brentford settle for a 1 all draw.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal of the season as Leeds battled back to earn a draw against Brentford.

The Bees completely dominated a first half in which the hosts failed to have a shot on target and deservedly led through Kevin Schade's neat flick.

But Leeds hung in there and defended well, before starting to turn the balance of play in their favour as the second half wore on.

Sunderland get home 1 nil over Fulham.

Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa criticised his team's attitude, commitment and desire after defeat by Sunderland, whose first Premier League win of the season came courtesy of substitute Wilson Isidor's strike.

Isidor came on in the 64th minute and made a decisive impact in a scrappy game of few clear-cut chances.

He nearly scored when found unmarked in a central position in the penalty area, only to hit the foot of the left post after the opportunity had been created by Granit Xhaka and Enzo le Fee.

Isidor, who got a goal for Haiti during the summer's World Cup, then made it 1-0 in the 75th minute.

The breakthrough came when fellow substitute Habib Diarra did superbly with a rapid run down the right wing and Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno could not gather his low cross, with Isidor able to convert to put the Black Cats ahead.

Manchester United always in control in their 5-2 defeat of promoted side, Ipswich Town

Bruno Fernandes scored a hat-trick as Manchester United came from behind to comfortably beat Ipswich Town.

The visitors, who beat Sunderland on their Premier League return last weekend, led when Leif Davis scored a fine half-volley after wonderful wing play by Abdul Fatawu.

But the whole momentum of the game turned when Marcelino Nunez slipped, allowing United to break from a corner and Matheus Cunha fed Fernandes to score.

United then led when Harry Maguire's shot was deflected in by Jacob Greaves for an own goal. The ball hit Maguire's arms in the build-up but the goal was allowed since he did not score it himself.

Three minutes later Ipswich centre-back Greaves was involved again, chopping down Cunha for a penalty - which Fernandes dispatched.

The United captain then grabbed his third, pouncing after Kobbie Mainoo and Bryan Mbeumo both had shots blocked.

Fernandes then sent Mbeumo away with a ball over the top and his shot hit the crossbar before spinning over the line to make it 5-1 to the hosts.

Ipswich grabbed a late consolation when Julio Enciso cut the ball back for half-time substitute Chuba Akpom to score.
