Now we just need to confirm Charlie Austin

Sounds like a fair bit of competition for Charlie Austin , Q.P.R have valued him at 15 Million .
They have been relegated to the Championship they have to let him go , he wouldn't want to be playing in the Championship at this stage of his Career and also pay Premier League wages in the Championship .
But he would definitely help Q.P.R chances of going straight back if he plays in the Championship , a bit like Kevin Nolan did a few Seasons back.

Newcastle and Bournemouth ordered to bid big in chase for £15m striker Charlie Austin

NEWCASTLE UNITED must be willing to spend big to land QPR striker Charlie Austin, former Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has warned.

The Magpies are one of a number of clubs closely trailing striker Austin, who is reportedly valued at around £15million.

The forward netted 18 goals in the Premier League last season but it was not enough to prevent the club dropping down to the Championship.

Leicester City, Southampton and Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the ace.

And Redknapp says a big bid is required to secure the ace.

"Charlie has proved he can score goals in the Premier League so it's going to take a big bid to shift him," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"I think he's happy. He's obviously enjoyed his time at QPR, he's been a big success for them.

"But if the right offer comes in - and it's got to be a good offer - reluctantly QPR may decide, and if Charlie really wants to play in the Premier League, to let him go."

Bournemouth have also been linked with the striker, a move that Redknapp would welcome.

"I didn't realise Bournemouth had been linked with him,' he added.

"I'm sure Eddie (Howe) knows him very well. That would be a great signing for them, Leicester as well.

"But QPR are not going to sell him cheap."

He wants to stay in London FT

That's why we and Chelsea are probably favourites to sign him

That is what i am saying mate he would be wasted at this time of his Career in the Championship.

You reckon his worth 15 Million?

To a club like West Ham , yes

You just can't be guaranteed that Carroll will spend the majority of the season on the playing track and we need a player who can stick at least 15 goals in the back of the net to be a serious Top 8 contender

Yeah agreed . Where would you stick Austin in your side would you play him as attacking Midfielder the front diamond player?

Don't know much about Bilic's coaching style FT

I wouldn't mind seeing at first both Carroll and Austin up front to see how it goes in a 4-4-2 , it would give both of them far more options and will put the oppositions defences at a huge disadvantage

And then you could pull blokes like Sakho and Valencia off the bench for variety

Forgot to add , great to see Zarate back from his on loan spell I rate him highly as you know

Like the decision to involve Julian Dicks , a hard man with West Ham interests at heart

If we could get a top flight central defender we could surprise again

I love Keefy's doppelganger (James Collins) but he does lack speed especially when he has to turn in chase

He reads the game very well still

This is piss funny

To put this in a NRL situation its a bit like swapping Moltzen for Cooper Cronk
