I guess it just saved England the embarrassment of being blown off the field by France. With all the hysteria around this, one thing gets missed, England are not that good of a team. If you were to put together an all-star team of players in this tournament how many English players would even get considered? Yeah, they are a better team than Iceland, but they are not on the level of France, Germany, Belgium and Spain. Even the likes of Italy, Portugal and Croatia have much more superstars than England.

Totally right MM

Just think that the Pommie side if they pick that same players in 18 months will be choc full of Championship superstars

Who goes on to win it from here I wonder , I'm not convinced on France just yet , maybe Belgium or Germany

I think France will take it out still. They haven't put it all together yet, but we've seen their stars all shine at different times. Plus that line up is stacked. The dark horses for me are Italy or maybe Poland (they've made it this far with Lewandowski doing nothing which shows the quality they have around him. If he can step it up they'll be tough to beat, plus they are on the softer side of the draw.
 
Time is nearly upon us for the start of another enjoyable Season of laughs :wink:

This is how it works :
1.Each weekend of the EPL season, entrants nominate one team to win their game
2\. If your team wins , you go through to the next round. A draw or defeat means you are out .
3.Each person can only nominate a team once-if you pick Liverpool in the first round for example you can never choose them again , except in the virtually impossible position where we get to round 21 and there are still competitors standing. At that point the selection process would start again from scratch. Believe me this will not happen .
4.last person in the tournament wins . If the last entrants are all eliminated in the same round , they share the honours .
5.There is a For and Against ladder System , once we have a winner the new Comp starts the following week.
6\. The one with most Comps won at the end of the year will be Crowned Last Man Standing Champion.
7\. There is a change from last year's Comp , If you identify a poor side that lose more than they win like Aston Villa were last year you can't pick the Team that plays against them for more than 2 weeks running.
For example
Round 1 : Man U vs Burnley
Round 2 : Chelsea vs Burnley
Round 3 : Burnley vs Arsenal –-----this is not allowed

THE PRIZE : The winner will be Engraved on the Shield we are playing for.
