Some Interesting Statistics

Brooks went missing for 75 Mins. What was his amazing stats?

Brooks is not a 100% but problem is Moses tkes over shutting everyone else out and then serves that.
When the game was still on early it was his mistakes and mis tackles that got the ball rolling.
Anyways we can only give these halves another year an if like this they hve to go along with the coach.
Can't make excuses for guys who have accomplished little on 750k.
And to think some reckon Moses is on a level with Johnson and Marshall in his day.
Are we for real.
At leas Austin heled guide Canberra to a to 4 and won a positinal Dally M.
And he wanted o play for us but was pushed out for Moses.

GCT, I am lost. Can you explain how the low number of wins against top 8 teams and bottom 3 teams is the fault of the coach, but the 6 from 6 against middle sides is because they are soft.
What does this say about the ability of the coaches of sides that did not beat those soft middle teams?

The numbers aren't what is his fault , I didn't say that.
What the numbers of wins shows , is that we were never as good as some of us believed we were, and the 2-3 record against the bottom three, is an indication that we aren't even consistent against the cellar dwellers.
What Taylor IS responsible for ,
Is for getting the team on the field ready to play.
We can use all the excuses possible but this was a big game for the team, and they didn't give a squeak.
JT along with the defence coach , is responsible for our defence, which, again , like in some other games, was back to our worst.
He was held up as a great Coach because of our game against the Warriors, so he should get a rocket for one another of our most disgusting displays of Te year.
I couldn't give a bugger about the other coaches. It's our defence that Taylor has been talking up ,

He should be copping it now and rightly so. All the talk about him being so good and the culture change has led to this. If his supporters showed some more humility it would be less about the coach and more about the players. Unfortunately for them they make it all about the coach.

I don't even care what he says. Yes it's one of the stupid things that he has talked about but all I care about is winning games. Our defence was terrible today but so was our ball control.

Those slagging off ET do not know much about football. He hits and sticks. Is involved in a load of tackles and has the football smarts to know exactly what is required. Will hit low and twist to turn the runner on their back, wrap the ball up to prevent the offload. He also gets to marker rather than getting caught laying in the ruck.
Has brought more dominance in terms of winning the ruck to wests tigers defence than any other player we have. If some of our other middle forward were able to do this, he could play wider and help our poor defending halves and outside backs.
Compare his role in the tackles, and the outcomes to Lawrence, Aloiai, Woods, Sue etc. I know who is the best defender in this group.

Watch him more closely. His influence in all these areas whilst strong at first has declined each week. Today he was poor.

With a coach that doesn't screw around positions like ours does,he may be more consistent, but he's nowhere near as effective as he was when he first arrived.

Dude it's this simple. JT is in the losses and he is in the wins. At the moment we've had too many losses.

The problem is that you as a JT lover have talked him up way too much. I'm personally not disappointed in this season but we should have done better. The coach should be under the blowtorch right now.

Nathan Brown must be the worst coach in the history of NRL

Nathan Brown doesn't coach this team so I don't care how good he is.
But I have noticed that he doesn't keep talking himself up as much.

This is another way in which JT lets himself down. He made out that he was the supercoach with all the fixes to our problems. It's not that simple is it.

I'm okay with keeping JT based on his massive improvement this year but another year of mistakes and surely he gets sacked.

If he isn't getting the ball to the No7 quick enough we should drop Moses to reserves. he is hogging the plays! A wonder if Souths will take him as well? It's a joke!

Can he play in the Reserves Semi. I heard he was ready to Roar if they got to the Semis,
And you don't have to defend as much.

as others have touched on

i think we were battered, bruised and exhausted. ET and woodsy with viruses. Lovett too who didnt play. Teddy an obvious out. Brooks is surely not 100% after his knee, and we saw moses out there too with his ankle

i also think that we match up extremely poorly against the raiders. they have strong edge runners which run angles at us and tear us to shreds. completing under 50% in the first half didnt help.

ive said this for a while, but i think we need 1-2 more 2nd rowers (or 1 2nd rower and 1 prop). Some big men to bolster our attack while providing some solid D. That will be hard if we're paying too much of farahs salary next year

i think we can improve next year and make the 8\. not that anyone will agree with me given our performance today

Have to laugh at people saying JT got us from 15th to 9th.It was JT who got us to 15th in the first place.

This

Last year was a disgrace. JT should cop it for that. We have had a good backend to this year and JT should be given credit for that as well.

Honestly we aren't far off. I'm just not sure that JT is the guy to take us a bit further.

I would agree with all that.

I agree, but who to try to see if they can take us a bit further, Cleary?

He had the flu and was in doubt to play today.
Lucky that he made as many tackles as he did,
maybe 100 tackles a game might just get you off his back, but I doubt it as you are the most negative poster on this forum.
I bet if the Tigers won a grand final by 100 point you would still have a whinge.

I think at some point you just have to take a different direction. It really doesn't matter who you get so long as you make a change.

I'd keep him here next year but the club should be looking at options now.

Lol blame the flu Bathurst tiger
..what a cop out. Supporters like you are the reason this club is so average

Taking a team from 15th to 9th is not a failure.

Opportunity gone begging IMO , with Souths , Roosters, Parra and Manly being basket cases this year .
With no decent signings for next year , next year will be tougher to crack the 8 .
