Is Farah hiding an injury of some sort perhaps?
Seems like there is quite a few poor passes going to ground from the distribution area creeping into the WT's game.
I've noticed in the first few rounds there are some terrible fatigued passes when the Tigers put on an assault. Think they are coming from both Farah and Marshall at some points when trying to shift the ball out wide which is out of character, moreso from Faffy. Luckily so far they have been scooped up well by the next man.

I think alot with Farah is the fact he has been more heavily targeted by runners in defence than ever before.

With each bit of match fitness he gets up the better he seems to be getting

I agree with the fact the he's started the season below his best. His service could be better. I'm hoping it's only a slow start to the year. I do think he's capable of better, though in saying that, he did do some good things last night. Hopefully the form is just building.

Certainly isnt playing his best. Hope he can recapture his top form because with the way the rest of our team is playing we'd be close to unbeatable.

To be fair, Robbie has been so good for so long that i think we have over the top expectations for him. He has definitley had a slow start to the season, but you can guranatee his perfromances will build as the year progresses. I also think he may be trying to reign his game in a tad to show that he is 'safe' enough to play origin.

I agree with everyone else that he seems below his best. The next 2-3 weeks should show us if it's an actual problem or if it's just him getting back into the swing of things. I think he'll be fine :slight_smile:

What do you mean? Playing too conservatively and 'safe' has been Faff's problem playing for NSW and Australia. If he took his natural game to rep level, Ennis would not even be in the equation.

Robbie's biggest concern re: origin, is his defence. He's been proned to come up with a bad defensive miss/read from time to time. Didn't appear so bad last night but on sunday his effort on Paea was ordinary.

Farah has never had any defensive issues in the past. That is why i am thinking something is not right. He has also been relieved of stealing cheap metres recently(not as much as usual).
I've noticed he's been running acrossfield to the right hand flank and not playing as square as often when attacking the line. This has been very good on his behalf to mix it up a bit more where he has put in some good passes to Ayshford and Ryan's side.
Perhaps there is a bit of focus to really even up both wings in attack?

Agree that Farah makes the wrong read/miss occasionally but mate he has to play Orgin this year. Robbie is a far greater defender then Ennis very day of the week. Ennis is one of the worst defenders in the NRL.

He was more like the Robbie of old last night and had some smart touches. I think the Tigers as a side are going to take a bit of time to really gel and find their groove. Last night was step in the right direction and if the Tigers forwards continue to do their job, then I think we'll see Robbie play the kind of football we know he can.

It has been a while since he has been in top form. His service has been poor and he has been running out wide too much and not getting in around the ruck and controlling that area.

I want to see him providing excellent service, defending well, picking up easy metres when he can, gett ing occassional penalty and setting up tries close the line. I want him to do this reguarly and he definitely has the ability.

I thought though against Parra he was a lot better If that continues we can be a real force.

He doesn't have to and I doubt it is under instructions from the coach. He simply has been out of form in a major way. I think that this started around origin last year.

Imo he was good against parra. He might have gotten his mojo back.

Oh Dear where going down this line are we…...those instructions Is how Farah loves to play....

Farah played less time in the 7 position than he did against the Rorters..or Manly .......last night,,,,

Depends how the game is policed and how our forwards are going, when our guys get a roll on and have the defence backpeddling there is nobody better but I tend to think he doesn't get a lot of justice these days catcing markers offside or not square. I wondered about injury too but I just think he is playing more laterally and it doesn't suit his passing game.

I think his dummy half running became over-used last season. Reffs are not penalising that area unless it is uber obvious (ala 3 markers)
