I gotta say after watching game 1 from 1993 on Fox, if Stuart ever needs to provide anymore inspiration for the Blues, he should look no further then this game, particularly the last 15 minutes of the game.
Playing up at Suncorp, the Maroons coming home strongly, peppering the line time and time again, with the Blues players barely able to get up and walk, yet they kept turning up for each other and holding them out.
That was best epitomised when Meninga made a break, put a centre-ing kick in and Ettingshausen came over from the opposite wing to pick it up under the post and then sprint 20m cross field to sneak out of the in goal area. Great stuff!
