Good game by both sides...QLD got a lot out of their bench and were the better side. Nathan Cleary offers little at present outside his goal kicking. Teddy is the class player above all others and JAC is a yard slower than last year

A couple of really poor selections by NSW - Chrichton is bog average, Wighton a total waste of a bench spot and the number 6 was trash.
A poor game from Latrell. That score is about what I expected. Cleary - ho hum.
Hopefully Keary will be right to go for game 2. Matteson on to the bench and sort out the LHS defence!

Good result. The better side won. To be honest the Maroons were a 20 point better side on the night so NSW will be very nervous leading into game 2. If QLD click and the passes stick, theyll be very hard to overcome.
