I just don't see how this shouldn't be treated as similar to blood doping. You can look at the following video for the effect it has to increase blood flow to the muscles to help prevent pain and increase performance.

Also on the website it mentions the chips are "a process to enhance performance as an alternative to illegal performance enhancing drugs". Doesn't that sound dodgy to anyone?
And on what trials have the NRL approved this technology? What did their base the judgement on? Looks like souths said we have some new acupuncture chips, can we use them, and the nrl said sure…
