Spare a thought for TT

Just a quick note to thank each and everyone for your kind thoughts and support….We had to go to the Drs yesterday for a follow up to the surgical procedure that my partner had, here is an update guys...

1,the removal of the one breast removed all of the tumour....

2.there is no need for further surgery as the cancer did not spread to the lymph nodes..

3.my partner has to under go chemo therapy for 6 months,,once per month...

4.she must take a tablet every day for 10 years as a preventative...

So there it is guys, good news for us and the anxietie level has now dropped somewhat as we look to the future...this is a very good outcome considering the disease...

once again people thanks for the support, its great to see how we all stick together in tough times, this is truly a remarkable forum with remarkable people on it...

GOD BLESS.. 😛ray:

That's great news mate and literally the best result you could have had. You got the cancer early, dealt with it effectively and there's been no leakage of cancer cells to other parts. Breathe easier now. My only advice is to make sure your partner does every screening from here on in when they're due. Don't get over-confident one or two years down the track.

Great news for you and your partner TT

But as Coivtny said you need to make sure you continue keeping an eye on it

Chin up!
Thanks for the update.
Good news - hope it continues.

Stay blessed.

Just a quick update guys and girls…

We had to go to the oncologist on Tuesday and he wants my partner to start chemo tommorow,a month earlier than anticipated..he explained that the tumour was removed and that the forthcoming treatment is a preventative treatment so the cancer doesn't return...
We look like having 6 months of treatment..5 treatments a fortnight apart and 12 once a week after that...a daunting time ahead but will be worth it at the end,God willing...

She is in reasonable good spirits and the more we can reassure her that it is beneficial in the long run the better her mental state is...still going to be a hard road ahead for awhile, but I have family, friends and you guys to turn to..

I will keep you posted as we progress along the way....cheers to everybody and if I forget,HAVE A GREAT XMAS and GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU... 😛ray:

Great news Ziggy, hope everything goes well for the "Boss".
Might see you at a game again this year.

Cheers

Thanks for the update TT.

Hope it all goes well over the course - my prayers are with you.

All the best for Christmas

Sorry TT, just saw this thread. Wishing you both all the very best! Really glad to read that there has been some very positive news. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Hi all.
Thanks for all the well wishes and cheers..we had a very good Xmas and New Year spent with family and friends,my partner had to go to Concorde Hospital to have a PORT inserted in her chest for the chemo treatment, this is a method used rather than injecting her viens in her arms everytime she has the chemo.

At the moment she is in reasonable good spirits albeit some days are painful and nausiating, however she has come to realise that this treatment will give her more life rather than doing nothing and the end result wouldnt be very good..

The oncologist told her that she could walk out and not have the treatment as the tumour has been removed, but, there is no guarantee that it wouldnt return, this treatment will asure her that the cancer is completely removed and she could be cancer free for years to come..THERE ARE NO GUARENTEES IN LIFE ..However this is the best we have and we will continue on trying to enjoy life, family, friends and for me this forum…

Once again all you fantastic people of the forum, including Hap and Geo,thanks for the support..GOD Bless...
\
\
cheers TT....
