Special surprise !

I love keeping fit by playing sport, walking, kayaking etc. outdoor stuff only. I find winter, some times limits my outdoor fitness routine due to rain, cold winds etc. knowing this, my better half (as he likes to be called) decided to do something about it, so it will be a surprise for me on my birthday. While i was away on a five day course in Darwin He bought some out door gym equipment ( the type you see in parks now days) and got some of his mates over to help set it up. You can imagine my surprise when i got back and saw the gym. He even had it partially enclosed to keep the rain out and give protection from the wind. The lovely part is it overlooks the river on our property. Best birthday surprise ever. Come share some of the special things you might have done for your partner or they for you.

My wife was always complaining that I never took her anywhere so I told her I would pack the trailer on Sunday and take her for a drive. When we arrived at our destination she declined to get out of the car and I had to empty the trailer into the rubbish tip on my own….You just can't please them....

I trust you took the keys with you when you got out Quintus. If I tried that one, my Wife would have jumped across to the drivers side and took off and left me there.

For my wife's special surprise for her last birthday, a mate of mine loaned me a big ex-tour boat. He and I and decorated it up and set up a bar, then launched it on a local billabong. I picked up my wife and her mates and gave them a champagne sunset tour (that's diplomatic speak for girls piss-up) on the billabong then was sober bob and drove them home. Patience is the key.

Lol…. Your wife is definately your better half then.

We certainly got a special surprise today

Started a week's break today with a holiday which my sisters family and my Dad and step Mum were coming later as well

We got in a little early to the accommodation as we were going to get a few yabbies and have a fish this arvo

We have stayed at the place previously , and found it strange they had no vacancies especially at this time of year

The owners were happy to see us for a moment until we said we'd arrived early and her jaw almost hit the ground

We thought they had confirmed the booking and they thought we hadn't got back to them so they got other tenants

Fortunately the 2nd place we saw was of similar price and quality and could take the other two families coming

Mrs was in tears but usually she is brilliant at making plans

Top it off went to get some yabbies and the spot seems all silted up and not one yabby

Sometimes life doesn't go as planned. Enjoy your break with your family Happy.

My wife had never been to NZ,she always raved about how she would love to go,so I had a secret meeting with the mum and dad inlaws and organised a 21 day holiday in a May And June just gone.
The inlaws are members of timeshare accommodation and we got 2 weeks free in Queenstown, what a fantastic place it is.we spent most of the time touring all over the South Island all the way down to Dunedin. The wife loves photography and is in the middle of doing a course at the moment,so she had plenty of photos to show her family and friends, she also said it would be nice if it snowed how's her luck 2nd day in Queenstown 3inches of snow fell.
It was the best birthday present she has had and treasures the trip because mum, dad, and I were there to share her experiences.
I have been to NZ 4times now and always try and find away to go back because it is such a beautiful place and the people are absolutely fantastic.
If any of you get a chance to go to NZ I don't think you will be sorry.

I've been to Auckland quite a few years ago TT. But it was a solemn affair. ( a friends funeral ) i didn't get a chance to sightsee very much. But the people i met there were lovely. When time and finances permit i would like to go back. Thanks for posting your wonderful story

Poor Happy's just copped an absolute hammering these past few posts.

That's what he get for being on holidays while the rest of us have to work! So jealous

Sabre, sometimes he deserves the hammering,if the shoe was on the other foot,do you think he would go easy?

Happys a champion bloke, but he to can be relentless when he has an opinion,or the joke is on someone else….
:roll

Kids have a weeks worth of homework

Cleaned the yabbies up 'got about 20-25 whiting 8 good sized keepers few flathead day was perfect
