Sponsors 2014

Looking at the clubs sponsors on the official site there was no Bingo or Hyundai… I new Hyundai were gone but thought Bingo were still there , seems a bit odd. Must say that sponsorship looks a bit thin.

It's not end of year yet. Most new sponsor agreements won't start till the new year.

Wests Tigers have one if the biggest sponsorship $$$$$ in the nrl. I would worry to much

is it just me, or does anyone else actually like the Meriton sponsorship on the jersey? I think it's one of the best done product placements in the NRL in terms of fitting into the jersey instead of trying to overlay itself over the colours, the V or whatever. And the colours of the logo work nicely with the jersey.

Fact Rexx or just an assumption? 5 or so years ago we were an attractive option for sponsors but not so sure now. If Hyundai are gone, who is the replacement. We will be very lucky to snare another worldwide corporation like Hyundai you would think. How about Lowes? surely they could pitch in a dollar or two and Hadley, Brohman etc as an optional extra 😱pen_mouth:

Do like it and don't like it if that makes sense

Glad Harry T is still behind us 100% , unhappy because it probably means the Tigers aren't in good shape if Harry is pitching in 😢

i dont actually know about how they go with sponsors, but the impression i have is that it is lagging… it wasnt long ago there seemed to be a financial crisis as well as the balmain leagues club going down?

sad to see hyundai has dropped the tiges. for some reason i just think that having well known companies on the jerseys makes the team appear more prestigious and yes, it is a matter of the big guys only wanting to be associated with successful clubs. take souths for instance.

hopefully after a successful year the tigers will be running around with the "" on the front and coca cola on the back...

I think in 2006-2007 were our biggest years. But even now we are quite well off in sponsorship stakes

Pretty good how our top back of jersey sponsor is the 3rd most valuable when we don't even have one.

I wouldnt read too much into the current sponsorship dilemas… the club obviously has alot of issues which has a cumulative effect on our worth in the eyes of perspective investors. What does matter is that if we do need to undersell ourselves to fill the available spaces that we dont do so on long term contracts. Because it only takes one good season and channel 9 will be begging for us to play prime TV slots again and market value soars.

Further to this, the decision to run with new sponsors on the sleeve and top back was a smart business move by the Partnerships team. This will bring back the value of the jersey so those properties can be sold for what they should be worth and the club will finally have full control over the terms and conditions of the inclusions that sponsors get, not like previous years where the club was bound by silly contractual conditions that left us in a vulnerable situation legally. Sponsors don't own the club regardless what they pay to have the privilege to be a part of this great team of ours….. Have faith....

It was a business decision for Hyundai to focus on the increasing cost and exposure value of the 'Hyundai' A-League which they wanted to keep their competition naming rights. Un-fortunately this came at the cost if the WT sponsorship going forward. They have been a great partner but now it's time to give some other company the chance to jump on board with one of the most recognisable sponsorship properties across all football codes (NRL, Super XVs, AFL and A-League). Have faith in the club management and trust that the replacement sponsor will be an awesome fit commercially for both the sponsor and the club.

Do you work for the Tigers Corporate Tigerman? Just curious because you seem to know what's going on with the sponsorship situation.
