Spoon Battle

Newcastle showed real spirit today, penrith and titans won, we are looking like crap

I think Newcastle are on the improve.

I think we are a real chance this year of claiming it.

Oh yeah its a very real possibility. Newie are busting their butts most weeks. Depends if we continue to be hamstrung.

Our best effort is better than Newcastle's best effort. Cleary just needs to get us putting in that effort and determination.

Unfortunately, I think things will have to improve quite dramatically for us to avoid it, though the Warriors are always a chance - I just cannot fathom their constantly poor performances with the cattle they have! At least with our roster we have some excuse for losing

Looking at the draw it's hard to see where our next win will come from .
We won't beat Newcastle at Newcastle …

I didn't see the titans beating Melbourne or Knights doing raiders (would've been a nice multi)
Well win again… When we least expect it.

You never look ahead for next wins on the back of a good win, it's always after a bad loss and that makes finding the next win difficult

If we do end up with the spoon Cleary is in no way responsible for it.He inherited a roster that was very weak throughout the whole club and playing without any heart. He has done wonders with what little talent JT gave him.
Under Cleary i have confidence from 2018 onwards

I understand what your saying but , the Knights or the Titans haven't had there season shafted by their players .
Simona , Moses , Woods and Tedesco have scuttled our season

That was trotted out before the Cowboys game…

Our form since Cleary took over apart from Friday improved...No reason once departing players are managed it can't again...

Most teams apart from the top 5 are still inconsistent a 3rd of the way through..

Apart from Friday night
I see a lot more "Friday Night " specials on the horizon !
You may need something more substantial than Lemmon lime & bitters next Friday night 😱pen_mouth:

Not really ..I've sat through many a drubbing before …the poor times make the good times sweater..

We shall see...Cleary won't put up with another performance like Friday...If he does ..well not much different to the last bloke..

Amazes me when other teams have shockers everyone is claims the bounce back factor..yet all it is for Wests Tigers we'll never win another game ever...

Not saying we will beat Brisbane but I expecting a much better showing..

I have 100% Faith in Cleary , problem is for this year he's bound up in a straight jacket .
We have the biggest pussy who ever laced on a boot ( Moses) and Woods and Tedesco who don't want to be here …
( even tedesco dogged it on Friday nite)
Add to that the Simona crap and we've also got crap like Edwards and Grant on our roster .
2017 is a wright off mate .
I'm just praying next year we WONT have any dramas ( wishful thinking )!

P.s I highly recommend Jack Daniels !
....it's an excuisite drop

We drop Moses and our chances drastically improve. However the conundrum is who do we play there instead and who kicks goals for us?

An answer to both questions unfortunately is Rankin. I know there's a lot of hate for him but at least he'll give 100% which in my book puts him head and shoulders above Moses.

Is there anyone else in our lower grades who can fill in at 6? Liddle? JLJ? Hunt?

I wish NRL teams were able to "loan" players from other clubs like teams can do in the English Football. That way we could drop Moses to reggies and loan a player like Lolohea or Connor Watson for the rest of the year.

We get a player to fill a vital position until our new signings (eg Reynolds) come on board, the other club gets a financial incentive (we pay a fee and the players salary whilst they are on loan to us) and the player gets vital game experience. It's win-win.
