Spudd as defence coach?

Hahahaha what a terrible appointment that would be. Can we sign some real coaches please?

As a fitness/conditioning specialist? Can't see why he would be terrible.
He would definitely have a lot to offer in regards to teaching attitude in defence and working together as a unit. He always had a never say die attitude when he played, something our current group are bankrupt in.

Has he literally every done any coaching? Let alone coaching in a first grade capacity?

Maybe he can do a handful of seasons over pre season but weve got enough dud coaches, sign some real coaches up to the important roles.

More like a Conner Watson or Benji off the bench or starter 6/7 when needed.. It's a 30 man
squad,I think he'd be an asset.

He doesn't have the attacking ability of a Benji-type though, nor the high-energy versatility of Watson. I think he'd be sort of like an Mbye 2.0 for us.

Was watching NRL 360 couple e shows back and my wife commented on James Graham , she said he seemed a smart guy , I took it as yep I agree he knows his stuff , then we watched the Matty Johns Pod Cast with Cooper Cronk and again she mentioned Cronk after he was explaining how he worked with slater on attacking teams , she knows zero about footy and only watches it cause I love footy so it’s on tv she sits and watches with me , but her comments rang through , she picked out 2 very smart operators , she also mentioned a while back Peter Sterling as a smart footy guy , if she can see this out club should be able to easily see potential assistance for our coach

James Graham is very wise in regards to football.
Really well spoken too and is straight to the point.

I think a few said earlier when Ikin took the Brissy job that Graham couldn't fill his shoes full time on 360 as he's very dry, boring even.... i enjoy it though, he's all business. Delivers his message well.

Anyway, long story short... I think any team would be lucky to have him involved in some way as he's an outstanding leader and communicator.

Yep - heard him say once about defensive structures "if it was easy to coach defensive structures all teams would defend like Melbourne,"
Just speaks sensibly instead of grandstanding like a lot of the other ex players.

I am part of a high level amateur club and we are very selective about who is in the dressing room.
