Now people are height shaming him ...disgraceful

He stands up every weekend he is one of the best defensive halves in the NRL and does enough in attack what we lack is a player that can sprint 80 metres and score.

"I am not a Brooks hater... but" proceeds to go on bagging the bloke anyway.

Being honest and realistic doesn’t make you a hater.

Reality is today we have HUGE advantages at 7 and 9.

Even this early, you can bet Grant outplays his opposite.

Brooks is light years better than the Dog's 7..but you just never know if he will get out there and dominate. Needs to today.

WE NEED TO WIN 2 IN A ROW, can we finally do that 😕

ITS A YES FROM ME

I’ve already explained how the ops take is ridiculous previously . Brooks is the 6th best half in the Competition. Is he Andrew Johns . No ! He’s more like Matt Orford . But that’s ok . You put the right pieces around him and he can go close to a Dally M . And maybe fringe origin. I respect your entitlement to an opinion , I just couldn’t be any more opposed to it.

It is RIDICULOUS to compare anyone to A Johns he is a once in a life time player. How many other halves can you put in the same league as A Johns

dont agree but it is a forum and should be heard

It is being heard. Being a forum its listened to probably more than in real life. If some people don't respond kindly doesn't mean they aren't listening, maybe they are just sick of hearing the same thing over and over and over and over.

Just want to start by saying I am not one of those Luke Brooks hater, but think it’s high time the club stopped trying to build this football team around him. This is only my opinion but I feel he fails to read a game, take ownership of the team and control plays like your Adam Reynolds, Nathan Clearys, Mitchell Pearces etc do so consistently well. I think his barrier, in his own progress and development, is that he lacks confidence and self belief and this impacts negatively on the structure of the team. Tigers have purchased well recently with the Luleui brothers and Adam Doueihi but the purchases are still built around the long term plans the club has to keep Luke Brooks as the key man. Luke Brooks has ability no doubt but he has to back himself and believe in himself. I may be wrong and I would like nothing more than to see him excell but I am thinking it’s time to start building the club around those recent signings and throw the cheque book at a proven half back like Aidan Sezer who wants to return home to Australia.

I thought you were serious until I read throw the cheque book at Adam sezer. Good wind up. Well played

Never made comment either way to that effect

Brooks threw some dusty passes. That combination on the left was a bit out of sync but he also had some good touches and put in some great kicks, and made that good bust. Also he was defensively solid as always. Continue to hate on the guy if you want but he is an easy selection with his skills + defense.

Well we won and won well, but Brooks was horrible.

I listened to the game on ABC grandstand and funnily enough the commentator said that Brooks has been outstanding the last 3 weeks since Benji hasn't been there....
I said Brooks has been playing much better since Benji hasn't been calling the shots and choking Lukes game and so has the team...
I also was chastised because I was critical of a the club legend and favourite...
funny how things are when you look outside the square..

Yeah he had a couple of rough passes but overall he was fine. Defence was excellent and dangerous at times when he ran the ball.

He had some continuity issues with douehi and Moses on the block play. I think because doueihi was a step slow Because of his injury, so he started shifting out the back and putting it further behind because doueihi was a step slower. Then when Moses swapped he didn’t adjust his passing. Meh ! That’s a “mate Put it outin front” convo from Moses. And he’d be so used to putting the ball in the exact spot of Adam , that it took a bit to find where he was positionially after the injury.
