OFFICIAL Starford To’a #253

What a load of dogshit . Every player in the nrl would have an injury that most people would need a few weeks off work . Getting needles and low contact through the weeks , hypo chambers , ice baths etc.
the reality is he’s made of glass and needs to work on strengthening the muscles around his joints to try to alleviate the never ending issues he seems to have .
It’s Nice to have Dr Mengele on board for some expert advice

??? He does it in the off season like every other player … the season is for maintaining .
you’ve NFI mate! The club has one of the most conservative strength and conditioning in the nrl. Peter Moussa nearly always errs on the side of caution.
And his injury was an elbow . An elbow isn’t a precursor for an AC joint injury . Stop talking shit …
You've got such a lovely way with words mate really productive way of debating a topic

You’re not debating anything . You’re accusing the club and player of malpractice . I’ll debate something that warrants it . Not some guy who come on to bag the club , and a really really good high performance team .
Who I at times thinks , sometimes should push the boundaries .

Seems content to be a FGer from where I sit. The pattern of one /two great games a season and reasons/excuses for the rest is a reoccurring discussion. Not an ability issue.

This poor kid needed a break and has been playing injured for like the last 6 weeks.

Been managed poorly by the coaching staff/he needed to know when his body needs to recover.
The guy doesn't need a break, he breaks something every time he gets tackled.

Something funny I noticed while looking at yesterday's stats. Starford Toa's play the ball speed is almost twice as slow as everyone else. When you watch the games it takes an eternity for him to get up. He is clearly playing through a decent amount of pain. It's time to call it a day on his season and have him do whatever is necessary to get him ready for 2026.

Takes Nadens position as first choice back up in 2026.

Not impressed.
So inconsistent.
He was good when he was fit, Tigers have them played him clearly injured for the last couple of months of the season and i guess when Mason is your back up that probably means you have to push through. Earlier today I said we need more backs for 2026 and people shot me down. We have no outside back depth

Reflecting on this year … the first 8 or 9 games he displayed his best ever form for the club … looked very strong to the point of unstoppable in certain moments and formed a really good partnership with Turuva ..

However …he got injured and was never the same player after he came back… he has been so poor that the decision to keep persevering with him most weeks should be questioned …and I’ll say he was one of the worst in that embarrassing capitulation last night …

Even worse though …they thought it was a good idea to extend him another two years on what I assume is reasonable coin (at least)…

He is here through the end of 2028 ….is anyone happy about that ? We are hoping he can show that early season form again..but it’s such a small sample size compared with the years of poor play he has had here, so I don’t see how anyone can be confident that he automatically reverts back to that Round 1 ,,

Oh well, if nothing else he will keep the rehab guys in a job for the next 3 seasons.

To answer your question, NO I AM NOT HAPPY, sick of his missed tackles and pathetic arm grabbing when he actually gets close enough to an opponent to actually get a hand on them.

Maybe we get lucky and we can medically retire him sometime. 😡

They just gave him an extension, lol... no medical retirements coming.

Seemingly the professionals running the club either ignore that , otr they believe him recovered sufficiently to take the field
probably because our squad is so paper thin there’s no one else to pick
injured to’a is the equivalent to a normal naden
