Mikaele is over rated just like Talau, they can both go as far as I am concerned.

Mikaele has not taken the next step

Agree, Mikaele is too one dimensional, he’ll probably improve a heap at another club though.

IMO he doesn’t make our full strength side next year. Props should be Aloiai, Tamou, Stefano and Musgrove.

Getting back to the back fence and running at defenders like your life depended on it is not popular at the WT's

I even saw Huth do it last week ...I thought what the hell ...he can move

The training paddock near concord doesn’t even have a back fence. The pigs can’t even practice it during the week.

Hopefully this gross oversight is addressed with the COE

Then find a fence 300 metres away and go from there ...build their motors up

I’d like to too see madden Blore and talau play on the right in cc...I think they will all be future players for us and would benefit building combos for 80 mins in reserve grade then a few in firsts

Dont put pressure on Stefano he has had less development than any prop in our current squad.Gtve him the time he needs to bring out his quality (2-3 years) and we just could get a diamond

Not putting pressure on him. 20-30 minutes off the bench will help his development. His current ability is above where Mikaele is at.

Ava Seumanufagai... I forgot about that dude. Another example of a player that was a mainstay in the tigers team, but couldn’t cut the mustard at any other NRL club*.

*played 13 games for Cronulla before shipping off to the Super League.

Really can't comment on this until we know who we retain for next season and who we Sign.

I do think we need to start focusing on the coach and support staff when we have 50+ put on us when we are taking about D all season.

Pretty woeful performance tonight embarrassed to support this team in all honesty they are so soft.

I agree with this, and I am 100% behind Madge, but it seems to me that Cleary had a more significant impact on our defence and saw improvement much quicker. That season where be beat the Storm x 2 and the Roosters in the early rounds seems to be a much better drilled team to what we are putting on the field now.

Cleary was also able to get a lot more out of Brooks. During Taylor's reign, we seemed to get a lot less injuries and were able to recover from injury quicker. I wouldn't swap either coach for Madge but I do think we are right to question his support staff and whether he is getting the best out of this squad...which at the end of the day is the coaches job.

Someone made a great point a week or two ago about our young players an how we overrate them Every club produces juniors. So we have lots of competition, and for our juniors to stand out and be any better than other clubs, and being good enough to turn the club around is a big ask. The only junior we’ve ever produced like that is Tedesco.

Some. of our juniors are right up there with the best eg Ryan Papenhuyzen, Unfortunately we have entrusted them to mugs who offered nothing eg JT.

He's a. premiership winning coach. JT's claim to fame was being punched out by one of his players.

Totally on board with this although I would extend his contract for an additional year results need to come by 2022.
I agree he has not got the squad he wants but has now made some key signings and retained others there prior.
Problem will be other squads will be better next season Titans one example of this and a good measuring stick with coach performances.
Need to also eliminate the leaks from the club and create a better culture.

Looking from another angle, these are the players I would definitely keep or who should be regulars in the top 21:
Doiahie
Nofo
Keoau - with a lot of catching practice
BJ - but only if he gets fitter over the off season
Brooks
MBye
Talau
Eisenhuth
Musgrove
Aloioai
Twal
Liddle
McIntyre
Tamou
Luciana Leiluia
Blore
Utoikamanu - as long as he is fit and in a good headspace.

Yep - for me there are plenty of spots up for grabs. Excuse the poor spelling of names.

I got a sneaky feeling Mbye will be 6

No but you need to have him see out this contract, because the potential is there. Look at guys like Taniela Paseka or Curtis Siro, they took years to start to see some of the form you originally hoped for. Or maybe Mikaele just needs to be shifted off to Manly.

Paseka in particular is a year ahead of Mikaele career-wise, though they are the same age. Paseka had no motor until 2020, he was all attack and a liability in defence, but he started to improve this year.

Well a lot of good that’s doing us atm isn’t it.

Alot of people don’t actually get what Madge stepped into. It wasn’t just a poor roster but also a poor coaching team & back office as well. He had nothing to work with. He also had a bunch of injured, over priced, heavily weighted position players.

He hasn’t been able to have everything how he wants yet & won’t for another 2 seasons

Back of office coaches couldn’t be let go as we didn’t have the money to do so.

We have a bunch of salary cap tied to players who would struggle in reserve grade all of which were signed before him

We have a new direction forming with young smarter roster management but that takes years to form.

We are in a massive hole and need someone like Madge, Harrtigan, Millard and co who know what it takes to win to mould us.

You can’t do miracles with our squad because our squad just isn’t good enough to take another step.

People keep focusing on talent, the reality is that they have it or don’t to become a finals footy player. At the moment we have maybe 2 or 3 players who a finals team would have in their top 17. That says it all for us right now.
