Starting team 2021

i think recruiment has been good,but a lot of questions.Will Jimmy and JL perform ?Fullback ?halves ? goalkicker? Is Momo a winger?is TT a winger or large 5/8 ? Liddle or Simkins ?Backline is very scatchy with at the moment little class.Forwards looking far better..I;m very optomistic but a lot of pieces have to fall into place.Backline is where money needs to be spent.

Not sure why Cheese keeps getting mentioned as a possible lock option when the sole reason he's even wishing to leave Melb is he wants to play as a starting 9 and won't at Melb with Harry there.

It's also been stated he'll remain at Melb till the end of 2021 then leave if Melb can secure a suitable player in return.

Don't get me wrong amazing player and surely massively improves the team however won't happen next yr and won't be for any position other than playing 9.

Jet must realise he is on his last chance, I think he will be a revelation in the centres

Sadly Jet appears to be the only true strike weapon in the backline .He can beat a man one on one and has the speed to go further,we need Joey to perform as well or our backs are just workmanlike.

You're kind of missing the point of the the thread - "Starting Team 2021"

I'm not here to have a go at you just saying the thread is about possible best 17 for 2021 not who we'd love to have in team if all the stars aligned. Signing Suggestions and Rumours is what that's for. Saying that yes for sure Munster in a heart beat would be epic. Having him in the team automatically turns the team into legit contenders.

Nofoaluma is capable of scoring tries that few others are. He's scored plenty of amazing tries over the years that have involved far more than just flopping over the line. Just because he doesn't have lightning pace doesn't mean he isn't a strike weapon.

Injured utility Billy Walters won't be available until mid-June at the earliest.

From an article on Wests Tigers site. Effectively rules Walters out for approximately the first half of season. Unfortunate for him being a contract year, though not a huge loss for the run on side at least

BJ too when he’s at his best, maybe not in the same way the Jet can beat his man 1 on 1 but he’s more than capable of drawing defenders or swatting his opposite and putting players away

Nofa is fast enough and a good winger,and BJ has his moments,but who are the strike weapons in the backs? Lots of ifs but the backs have hardly changed since last year.I hope they all come good and kick ass,but compared to the top sides our backs are ordinary

I'm less worried about our strike weapons now. I think we have enough strike. I think the issue will be consistency.

To me we have heaps of strike weapons in the backs. Roberts, BJ, Talau as centres. All of these guys have something. Throw the ball to all of them and they may do something. Nofo and AJ on the wings have plenty of ability to score a try. Brooks and AD in the halves are going to score points. AD will kick goals. All of these players though are probably going to be inconsistent throughout the game and throughout the season.

Unsure if Jimmy Jet will be ready game 1 if so maybe a wing spot. See BJ & Tommy getting 1st crack at centre pairing.
