State of Origin 2026

Well Strange had locked down the 6 jersey for the Blues for the next decade

And if Katoa wasn’t concussed he wouldn’t even be playing
Yep knew he would make a great origin player. I’m glad he got the chance, but where does that leave Moses who has also been a match winner in the past? Embarrassment of riches in the five eighth position for NSW.

Lol - 4 weeks - how about just a fine. Just because Klein thought it was direct contact to the head doesn't mean it was. Initial contact was a head clash. Yes it was a negligent tackle and deserved to be put on report and 10 in the bin but it wasn' t a deliberate shoulder to the head that the cheat Klein marched him for.
It did go the video…

NSW are a long way from home and hosed with a 1-0 lead … they were terrible last night ..I don’t think I have ever seen a worse performance from a NSW team where they went on to win the game ..

I have zero faith in Daley doing the right thing but he needs to make changes … To’o has been a good servant but he was terrible last night with those errors ..thought Critta struggled most of the game as well…I would change those two …Big Olakawatu went missing but I’d keep him one more as he is a match winner on his day …get Haas back in there quick smart Game 2

The way Too played the first half you cld have sworn hed just signed up for the Chiefs and lost care factor??
Improved in second half, but the other Penrith kid looked very impressive last 20 mins
Critter has slowed down a bit,and will surely be replaced by Latrelle in game 2
Those two on the left edge wld be formidable

I was at the game and whilst i think Ponga should have been 10 in the bin and not a send off, the officiating from Klien was generally woeful. QLD were offside on multiple occasions when NSW were in the attack red zone and he just ignored it. I agree that NSW would not have won without Ponga sent off, they were all at sea and the QLD forwards were dominating through the middle, even after Ponga went off QLD kept dominating the forwards battle. Our worst was AFB, he had no venom in attack or defence and Barnett was very ordinary. I would drop them both and bring in Haas and either Koloamatangi or Terrel May. Olakuato didnt have a great game, however he and Young were the only starting forwards that were hitting hard in both attack and defence. The tide started to turn a little when Cam Murray came on, prior to that we were getting mauled by their forward pack.

Casey Maclean was exceptional. Him, Cam Murray and Strange were the stand outs for me in the NSW team.

Young and Cleary also, imo.
Cleary came good in the second half when we were running downhill against 12 players...I don't want to bag him as you can only play what's in front of you and he did. Young and Hamuole were the only starting forwards that had some punch in attack and defence. Young knows how to get in the game so he had more impact, whereas Hamuole tends to stay in his lane a bit too much and needs to be put in attacking positions, where young puts himself in good attacking positions. To me the side lost the middle early and never got it back, AFB and Barnett were ineffective and the last 30 mins of our backs dominating has glossed over that.

I thought defensively
Staggs & Radley were very good.
Koula before getting injured also did everything at speed and looks like a keeper for me.
