State of Origin 2026

Well is dry...no experienced coaches interested
Think it came down to Daley or Toovey
Think Madge will get the gig after this season ends!
I’d have no issue giving Madge the job again, but I don’t think it’ll happen unless Broncos decide to sack him. Ivan’s case is a little different as we know he’s retiring from full time coaching after next season, he’s the front runner for now. But, if Madge is available I got no issue bringing him back his style works for Origin and rep footy.

One we have in our system Jaxon Speechley is very similar in stature and plays equally tough.
I read he not long ago re-signed with us and I think he is the son of Brad Speechley who I think is now in charge of the Wests Maglies pathways ?
Related to Michael Speechley?

CTM was very quiet, overall still got a long way to go. But the whole NSW team was poor. The women’s side did better tonight than the men did.

Taupau Moors been back in 5 minutes looks knackered already
He didn’t do much to impress unfortunately, one decent run with an offload towards the end was about his only highlight.
Onitoni Large was very ordinary, he is wasting his time as a 5/8.
Bishop Neal the monster Qld right edge back rower currently playing for the Warriors was a man amongst boys, very impressive and it doesn’t look like it will be long before he is impressing at NRL level.
The Melbourne Storm contracted Qld halfback Hayden Watson also looks the goods.
I was also very impressed with the NSW left edge back rower Darcy Smith currently with the Roosters. He got outplayed by the much bigger Neal, but he plays tough and has good footwork and athleticism, I think he will be an NRL player.
