State of Origin 2026

Spot on, NSW just don’t get it and never really have. Every year everyone says that NSW have the best team on paper and look superior to QLD blah, blah, yet they rarely win because the tactics are usually all wrong for Origin.

QLD also have the edge emotionally and psychologically, they thrive on the underdog status and they pick players (oftentimes raw ones) who they know will play out of their skin for their state. Add that to the ad lib skills of players like Munster, Grant and Ponga and they can’t lose really, unless NSW finally decides to throw out the structures and stats and start to match them at their own game.
NSW certainly have the players who could do that, but I’m not sure they have the right mindset to implement it.
nsw dont get origin
droughts and floods are a Queensland thing according to slater...

nsw have a poor coach and game plan that is the difference

nsw have great players, Ivan coming on board in 28 will help the coaching

I have been enlightened about how NSW run the show

It's like the Tigers use to be with HBG

The people above the coach have to much power in picking the team and interference

QLD the coach has first and last say
