@ said:Anyone know if these one off jerseys will be for sale with money raised going to the right charity? I dont mean the player worn auction, i mean just general sale?

What happened to the Kelly family is horrible., However the fact that the father rakes in $150k (or something ludicrous like that) from the charity as is it's Managing Director is fraud.
The whole thing is a con-job.

Fraud is a bit inaccurate Kul. Non-profit or not, if it needs employees, you are entitled to get paid. The problem is with transparency. My mate has a charity and what he has done is got his core supporters and tell them he needs base funding that will cover all admin, wages etc. Then anyone else donating to the charity will know that their money will 100% go to where it needs to as other costs are covered. It's a good model.
I also had a look at the annual report, wages were $114k for their Dad. If he is full-time, that's not unreasonable.

Also, does their mother draw a wage? If not, and she doesn't work outside of the charity, you would gather she is working on a volunteer basis. Makes the $114K seem even less of a big deal again.
@ said:Ralph Kelly was actually on $125,754, $65,294 the year before that.
There was a fantastic critical analysis of their reports carried out by someone last year during the LinkedIn event #keepSydneyOpen (Will the last person in Sydney please switch off the lights)
The primary donor is - shock horror - Echo Entertainment.
So the city's only Casino bankrolls a charity with $250k, pays the father $125k a year and gets the Govt to shut down licensed venues across the CBD/Cross/Oxford at 1:30am… all under the guise of "stopping violence" while the Star remains outside the lockout zone.
...which part of that isn't suss?
But if we frame it as "stay kind" then Average Joe won't put two and two together
I've managed several venues in the city before the lockouts, witnessed king-hits, blood, fights, etc. Nothing is more off-putting than violence and there isn't a person in this city who wants to see it stop. But the Thomas Kelly Foundation is pathetic cover for deeper motives

From what I can see, it's actually crown, not echo. No profiteeering as no casino is built yet.
Nor were the lockout laws from the Kelly foundation, they were after the other kid got king hit.
Maybe I'm just naive, but I could never assume that a father would use his sons deaths to profit via backroom deals with govt and casinos. Especially only at the magnitude of $100k. I just can't believe that level of evil collusion exists. Makes no sense to me.
