It looks like this system will drop a shit-load of rain mainly… Flooding will be the major contributor to damage I'd say.

Not many locals on the Sunshine Coast are happy, as the system has a long tail and is blowing a south-easterly meaning crap surf.

I'm betting if I go to the shops to get some milk this afternoon they will be sold out and will have to limit people to one carton per person

Funniest thing I have seen was a lady smashing a 3 litre milk on the ground at Woolies saying "If I can't have it , no one can "

I'm probably preaching to the converted, but it is worth thinking about it before crossing flowing water. A cubic meter of water weighs a metric ton. Lots of people up this way come unstuck by underestimating the force behind, even relatively shallow, flowing water. If you don't absolutely have to cross, don't.
