Stefano Utoikamanu #241

Don’t throw excuses. The backs don’t lose the middle.
You'd have to admit though, that good sides get more help from the back 3 than the Tigers do.

Shortens the field.
Builds momentum.
Takes the onus off the middles to carry the workload.

Good wingers adding hard metres makes it easier for the middles to dominate.

I would argue that our middles, for the most part, are competitive with anyone elses.

Then they score tries and give their forwards a 3 min spell.

It's not easy being a wests tigers supporter stef

😉
If they give me the $800k a year I will renew my membership which I have let lapse this year, yes Stef it's been a hard slog and I've been here a hell of a lot longer than you and I've been paying for the privilege up until now.

$800k may go some way to compensate for the pain and suffering supporters have had to endure. 😡

He’s not even making NSW but he’s a hell of a lot closer than the nuffies he plays with. Api excluded.
Do those “nuffies” include our 5 or 6 current internationals? Add them to guys already done at rep level and you’ll find half our side aren’t even eligible. Most of the rest are kids just starting out.

Ive always thought a firing Stef would have to have a huge part of a recovery at the Tigers. Its frustrating because you see how good he can be at times. 25% of the time he is outstanding, the other 75% he performs as a bog average first grader. He has shown he is replaceable. Roosters are dreaming if they think he will provide the same impact as JWH.

Recent comments indicate he has probably been reading too much of his own press. Can see him going down the Woods path. See ya Stef.

Funny eh, the players leave cause they're sick of losing, yet they play a part in the losing team.

Yep, and his team won on the weekend when Utoikamanu performed at HIS ability level, particularly in the second half. WT need a lot more of that to justify forking out $800k from next season.

Every single player knows that almost all wins come on the back of the forwards, so with Stefano being reasonably experienced with 25 NRL appearances coming into 2022, he must take his share of the blame for the wooden spoons achieved.

Samuela Fainu who is some 4 years younger on a path that will be basically the same going into next season 3 years later barring something dramatic. At this stage there is absolutely no doubt in my mind which one put/s in to avoid getting his first spoon and should be prioritised.
