It is time for every Wests Tiger supporter/Fan to step up and become a Member. We can get way more than the current 5000 Members.

The Rubbish Excuses so called Fans come up with does not wash with me

- I can't get to games (not trying hard enough)
-No Sunday games at Leichhardt (Build a bridge; support your team no matter what)
- I work on games days (swap shifts you know well in advance day, time, date now)
- To expensive (they offer a payment plans and you should have organise it)
- I can’t get there on Fridays after work (Go sick, get Annual Leave, Get the day off)

There is no Excuse for you not being a Member and attending all home games.I hate weak excuses. If you have a Rubbish excuse this tells me you are not a Die hard, bleed for your club, till I die kind of Supporter.
:sign:

agree 100% all those excuses are extremely stupid.

but im not a member, my main reason is that my butt hurts sitting on those chairs.

I remember you posting the same rubbish from your moral high horse before the start of the yr. Crapping on claiming people aren't ''real supporters'' is a great way of winning people over. This is what i have learnt from you in just the last 24 hrs:

- You hate people from the Easten Suburbs and you think no one from that part of town is a hard worker
- You claim our captain is a judas for turning up in support of another 20/20 team to the one he was associated with last yr (seriously, who gives that much of a crap about 20/20 to care that much)
- You look down and belittle those who aren't members

Way to go

He's trolling surely

GNR4LIFE,I am not Trolling.

I do Hate any thing for the East - Correct.
I do care about the Sydney Thunder - Correct.

As for Looking down and Belittling people who aren't Members perhaps this is your Opinion. I don't believe so. I just have trouble understanding anyone how can Love the Wests Tigers with out being a Member. To me, being a Member is the ultimatum show of love and respect of your team.It is showing your “till I die Passion” for your club.

GNR4LIFE - Just become a Member you know you want too.

Unfortunately I'm not on the dole and have a free weekend every week, a retiree or a mon-fri 9-5 staffer. I paid for my membership (every home game) this year and every year since 05 and wasn't able to attend a single game in 2012 due to work commitments.
Taking a sickie to attend a game just doesn't take precedence for me. I can't justify taking 12 sickies, a few of which will be a loss from my pocket.
Ill be paying again in 2013 knowing full well it might be a waste, but I love my club and that's the sacrifice I'm willing to make to support my club.
Just because some of us can't make a game, doesn't make us any less of a supporter than you.

I'm finding this thread a tad bit offensive. Not everyone can afford to be a member. There are people who are still on struggle street and look at every dollar that passes through their hands. I think the club could make their packages a bit more enticing for fans to jump at and you'd find there might be an increase in numbers. For example, the "Out Of Towners" package I think could be beefed up a bit. I think that offering the tickets in that package is a waste of time because they're aimed at people who dont live in Sydney. For the most part, I'm sure these fans may consider going for this package if they replaced the tickets with a members hat for example. I think they could give a bit more on the merchandise discount card as well. $20 for a fan who has traveled a long way to come to a game and buy some merchandise is a bit of a slap in the face if you ask me.

Not only is this thread offensive, the OP's ignorance and narrow minded view of the world is clearly mind boggling to say the least.

I'll be keeping my landlord happy first and then copping our games from atop the local bar stool.

Rugby League can't have it both ways.
They sold their soul to pay TV, remember back when two great traditional clubs were forced to merge .
And yet they still expect 'true fans' to fork out for memberships, a new jersey every year, to go to the games, to travel to the games, to pay $5 for a luke warm pie … Well I'll shun all this toss and sit in the pub and support their pay TV backer instead (and my local bar maids on going employment)

Nah, I'll take option one thanks ... My level of support is wholly spiritual ... Money's too hard to come by to be frivolously handing it over to any Tom, Dick or Humpty.

CARN WESTS ...

I had a silver membership last year, and since my seats have been made into gold seating at LO, I've chosen not to renew my membership. I understand the club has to maximise the revenue at a small venue like LO, but I'm particularly impressed that we weren't really advised that it was to happen.

That, along with the fact I didn't get out to every game last year as I was too ill to go to one game and on two other occasions I had birthdays to attend. I still can't believe they had the audacity to be born on those days… I have quite a few things penciled in for 2013 already which will make it difficult to justify a membership. I will just go to the games as I'm available to attend.

And to be frank Frazer, you've shown in your posts over the last two days what a narrow minded, insensitive and intolerable clown you can come across as...

brk53y - I own about 9 Jerseys.

Glen McWilliams - I reluctant to use my full name, but my first name is Frazer. I'm in bay 19 at Leichhardt,Bay 11 at SFS and Bay 7 at Campbelltown. Any One, Please feel free to come and introduce yourself. I like meeting new Wests Tigers Members. As for the Sickies I would not have a problem going sick for Wests Tigers games I would just make sure I had a Doctors certificate but I do not need to because I have put in and received Days off on every game day.

Everyone else - I have been told I am Offensive, narrow minded, insensitive, intolerable, ignorant, pig-headed before but I do not believe this to be the case. I am a strong minded Wests Tigers member wanting the best for my club. I also believe you strive hard for the things you love, you make it happen, you don't put it in the do hard basket. Every one would be at Wests Tigers games if they truly wanted to be. I would move heaven and Earth to be there. I have missed family Birthdays,Weddings,Funerals and Work to be there. I guess it is about priorities and Wests Tigers are a High priority for me. But i realise Wests Tigers are not a Priority for some.

Tigermaniac – I do not want another job,I have a very flexible roster, Great Pay and a Job for life.

I too find the original post to be ignorant and a little immature.
I live 2 hours west of Brisbane, the best I can get is to see The Tigers play the Titans or Broncos once a year. But even that can be a struggle with 2 kids, considering ticket prices, fuel costs and overnight accommodation. 1 game would cost me about the same as a membership, but what do I get out of that membership - pretty much zilch.

My money goes towards Austar. The sports is about the only reason I pay for it but I get more out of that then a membership. I wouldn't blame anyone in Sydney for doing the same.

Frazer4Wests, I appreciate your passion and correct me if I'm wrong but you sound like a young man with very little commitments. I was that once too. Come tell me I have no excuse when you have kids, a mortgage and ever increasing bills to consider.
