His value for money is terrible. For close on 500k he should be producing the numbers he's put out last month as an ongoing minimum. But he doesn't and for much of his current contract he's been closer to state cup level far too often. Has he turned the corner? Time will tell.

Who is this in response to Yoss?

If he was on anything near 500k that would be a calamity! He's worth no more than 250-300k at a max. Most of his career he's be concussed, making 60m a game, giving away a ridiclous amount of penalties, knock ons or just soft defense up the middle.

He hasn't improved at all int he last 5 years so should absolutely be cut off for someone who may have an upside.

Then it is a calamity because I'm told he's on that sort of money.

Are we trying to emulate the roosters. Losing a fringe first grader frees up a million in cap space.

Didn’t he re-sign under the current regime? If he is on 500k heads should roll

He’s on closer to $350-$400k per season.

Not fussed… Been waiting too long on him

But I do wonder often if some of these middle tier NRL level players will only get so far with us and would go much better elsewhere.... We've seen a few

Very few I reckon. I can only think of Teo & Fifita. Oh and of course JAC, but don't get me started on that loss! Harrison was pretty good for Canberra for a short time, but faded out. Akoula, BMM, Ava, Suli, Cherrington, Sironen etc haven't really set the rugby league world on fire since leaving us.

Lodge ,Laffranchi ,O'Donnell , Tyran Smith , Nathan Brown , Taupau …....

Sauaso Sue cops an unwarranted amount of bagging on this forum.

He makes more metres per run than any other forward in our side and tackles as effectively as anyone except for Alex Twal.

Unlike some other forwards, he also adds some aggression and has a low error rate.

At 100+ games and years ahead of him, it's a smart signing for the Dogs and a sad day for us.

Sounds like youre on your own mate.

You seem well connected but I'm told it's closer to 500k. That's just what I was told.

Well, this IS interesting.
Id love to see one or the other proved correct/incorrect…but....

It’s not that hard to believe. At the time he re-signed he was probably 2nd only to Woods as our most valuable forward.

Muskets at 20 paces!!!!!

Thats a shock.I would have thought Woods was on about 550k when he was with us. I like Jesse but that seems like a lot of money.

Sue didn’t command enough respect for anyone to take his name change seriously, he went from Sauaso to Jesse then the commentators reverted back to Sauaso in a short space of time.
Gillette went from being a popular razor blade to Gillet and the commentators have embraced that.
That says it all.

Not sure if serious. Jesse is his nickname and has been since his debut.
