Support Justin

I feel totally abandoned by the game I have loved. I’ve been saying for ages that broncos get an unfair advantage - well now I’ll call it like it is - the NRL CHEATS. Run by the two biggest dickheads ever to hold management positions.
Roosters obviously Rort the cap - nothing
Broncos favoured every week - nothing
Sharks caught using drugs - next to nothing
Players rape women - next to nothing

I’m not a hate filled person but I could not be angrier than I feel now. The punishment fished out to our club is abhorrent.

I’ll write to that useless turd at the NRL again but as has happened in the past the useless [automatically edited] will not respond.

Justin Pascoe on the other hand has responded every time I’ve communicated with him.

He is a great leader and I’ll be a part of any action to defend him or lodge our protest.

Well said many others feel the same way

Im about to put the petition up. I would like some help / suggestions on wording

We need a slogan. Eg Jobs and Boats. Make America great. Children overboard.

Best I have is Justice for Justin

Happy if someone has a better suggestion.

Petition wording I have saved in draft change.org is as follows:
\
\
**We demand Justice for Justin**

Todd Greenburg has wronged Justin Pascoe, CEO of Wests Tigers

* We reject big punishments for paperwork issues
\

* We reject attempts to distract us from the Roostering that is happening to the Salary cap.
\

* We reject the treatment of a true gentleman of the game
\

* We reject the over the top fines to Wests Tigers

Reinstate Justin immediately as CEO of Wests Tigers

**We demand Justice for Justin**.

I'd drop the reference to the roosters. It has nothing to do with our situation. Stick to our topic of concern. Otherwise we just look petty. We have to take the high ground on this one and ensure that we see NRL.com as the low ground (memberships).

Cheers NT. Im going to let this go now. Sounds horrible but I honestly think Tigers fans are different from Bunny fans. I don't think people will stand up to the NRL. Plus, Yos is normally in the know so he has me spooked that there is more to this.

That's the overall impression I get too, that there's more to this. I would think that the NRL would have to have some pretty damning evidence to risk extinguishing someones livelihood. Otherwise it is just a massive, unjustified overreaction. I guess time will tell.

I’m sure plenty of people have already said this in this thread
I think Justin was one of the best things to happen to this club and now that we are on the rise the NRL are trying to bring us down, since his arrival the club has only gone up not just in memberships but in the way the club has been run and also crowd numbers in Sydney
Are the NRL trying to sabotage us ??

Sadly, nothing we do will make any difference. If it’s proved Pascoe did the wrong thing, that will be that. Every time a club gets come down on, their supporters lose it and claim to be victimised. This is no different to the NRL.

Today’s NRS penalties imposed on WT and Justin Pascoe are a disgrace and an overreaction by an organisation which is continuing to show its total incompetence.

To allow big pockets clubs such as Roosters, Broncoes, Cronulla, Melbourne and Parramatta of this world, to get away with what is so obvious to see ….. cheating the salary cap.

And then to announce high senctions against a club like WT which do not fit the crime on the very day when the real culprits are being punished and should be the focus of the exercise. Announced by a man who should have very little credibility left in the game. A weak administrator who covered his track well after leaving the Bulldogs skyline burning.

This is very unfair result and I say this knowing very well that there was probably an reporting issue that Pascoe and WT did not address in strict accordance to the NRL rules. But it’s just smoke and mirrors by the puppeteers to soften the Cronulla announcement by dragging WT to the party.

Shame!

Lets hope Justin has the full support of the board..that's where it counts..

People - it is great to vent on here but it wont do anything.

You need to get on to the NRL. They need to be bombarded with complaints.

You can contact them via nrl.com. I have today. Received two replies already. Just the standard response:

In regards to the incident with the Wests Tigers, the rules are clear around post-career roles. This type of agreement could be used by a club to keep a player at a reduced salary and a way around the cap. The payment should have been disclosed by the club and included in their salary cap.

It is important to stress these are preliminary findings and the club and Mr Pascoe have been given a reasonable time to respond to the proposed penalties.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to us.

They need lots of complaints so they cant ignore the masses.

Just wrote to them.

I am loving the support here on the Forum, its really such a great community on here

A clearer understanding of exactly what our Club and CEO are accused of, should be forthcoming over the next week or so. In the meantime it would be nice to know what the Managers involved in the Parramatta cap cheating, have on Greenberg from his Canterbury days. They only received a slap on the wrist.

As above, and let's hit the NRL where they fear the most. Their pockets. Sponsorship and TV rights is their number one concern - if there is a way we could impact upon that, then the NRL would take notice.

Here’s a copy of my email sent to NRL:

This is my second email on this topic. Last email was neither rude or offensive. Yet I received no reply. Please reply PERSONALLY to my questions:
How do you justify the team lists of sharks, Storm, roosters and broncos against all other clubs?
It is widely acceptedand known the roosters hold golf games and the like where players receive huge amounts of money for winning holes. Why do you not investigate this?
Why do broncos get the rub of the green every game?
Are you trying to rub out WestsTigers?
Do you realise that support for the NRL is at an all time low with majority of real fans believing certain clubs are advantaged? What are you doing about this?
Your overreaction to WestsTigers today is disgraceful. Look at the Tigers roster then look at the premiers roster - how do you expect fans to stomach the blatant inequity.
Today you have rubbed out a great operator in Pascoe. He was good for the game and was getting the Tigers back to being competitive- but you don’t want that do you?
In the past, Justin Pascoe has called me personally - I wonder if Greenberg or Beattie will do the same? I’ll wait by the phone

Actually there is. Let the networks, including Fox, know that you won’t watch any show that has Greenberg on it. If they ignore you, switch channels and again let them know. Same with radio and other media. This directly affects their revenue. It will directly put Greenberg in the firing line without affecting our club or the NRL as a whole.

People power is a massive weapon, it saved Souths, but it has to be well organised and it needs lots of media attention.

Anyway if Justin goes I go….that will bring a end to close to 60 years of being a league nut

If you get a response to your email it will be along the lines of "All information was analysed in great depth and it was felt that there is more than sufficient evidence for the penalties. Yours sincerely blah blah blah"

The NRL CEO is an absolute joke.

I know teddy boy, let's have an independent and I mean independent, auditor look in your backyard … where have all the foxtel tv rights gone ?
Who and what got the slices of the pie.
The NRL is run by an oligarchy of the few that craps all over those clubs that merely make up the numbers. The game is a joke runs by self interest.
The game will now continue to lose once loyal league supporters.
Well done Greenberg, clown!

It’s all well and good to claim people are walking away from the game, but does the revenue reflect that presumption? SOO and GF’s still sell out, ratings are good. Seems like a trendy thing to say. Are there enough enough people are walking away for it to even matter to the NRL? I doubt it.

He has got my full support - best CEO the Wests Tigers have had.

By a country mile….why the hell didn’t the NRL sack the CEOs of other clubs that were fined for “salary cap” cheating....surely Any QC worth his salt would challenge and win on precedence....we cannot afford to lose Pascoe

Can we de register Todd Greenberg and Nic weeks for giving the Broncos a Friday night game every week. This is deceiving the tigers with an un fair advantage to the Broncos.
