Supporters being treated like "mushrooms"

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they are being treated like a "mushroom"?
I am sure Management have there own agenda, but to keep their loyal supporters in the dark is not acceptable. We are the ones that put our "hard earned" into their consolidated revenue and contribute to the club's success. As a curent member I also expect better.
I recall Mr Humphries stating several weeks ago (on MNF vs. The Knights) that there would shortly be announcements in regard to signings and departures. Well at this time, we have only heard of the departures.
A simple statement by the Club ackowledging the current position and perhaps reassuring us supporters there will be announcements (and indicate likely timeframe)in respect to new signing/s would allay some of my concerns. At this time however the rumour mill is spreading like wildfire with no comment from the club.
I have been a Wests Supporter for 40 years and like most of us have taken on the merge with great passion and enthusiasim.
PLease Wests Tigers Management, if you read these forums you will note that us supporters are becoming frustrated, and we would welcome an official announcement.

I think we need to sit back and just be patient. They cant come out and tell everyone what we are doing behind the scenes.

A club either has to have a high turnover of players or get a new coach every few years. I wish we chose to get a new coach but we didnt, so we have to have a cleanout.

Its hard to judge at the moment because we dont have any confirmation of who's coming to the club.

My main concern is that we could be getting rid of the wrong players. Our 2nd best player and captain should have been the first to go. A club cant succeed with a captain like this.

Heighno will be a loss, so will Gibbs. Fafita has talent but time will tell how he developes.

Im lead to believe we have looked at Blair, Dugan, Cross and Tony Williams. I dont know about Carney or Vidot.

A win tonight would help.

Well said, I am also am a member and a Wests supporter for at least 40yrs, like you I have taken on the merge with enthusiasm and passion!!

So, in answer to your question…yes, I feel the same as you. Sick of waiting for announcements, makes me think if we (the supporters) know nothing, I can only think that the majority of players are also in the dark, can't blame them for trying to secure their futures. :brick:

That is also true King Sirro,(about the club not being able to tell us every move they are making) but it seems like we are watching everyone leave without any signings of our own. The fans need some hope!

well if youve supported wests for 40 years then you should be used to being treated like a mushroom. Fact of the matter the club will make announcements when its in a position to do so. What can you be concerned about that we have let go players, I think its great that we have let go players that have only stopped us from signing or allowing the junior talent that we have to come through into nrl i.e Moltzen or Miller? Give me Miller a kid with untapped potential compared to Moltzen struggling with confidence and wont attack the line in d or a.

and the list goes on, im not frustrated but eager to see who we end up signing. All in due course.

Do u want these players that are being let go or stay and year after year we are sitting in the middle of the ladder fighting to stay in the 8 or be at the top of the ladder and be a premiership force
