Surely the halves experiment is over?

Experiment? What experiment? This is what we have. This is the combo the club has invested so much time and effort into, like it or lump it. I can cop Brooks cos he has showed glimpses, Moses on the other hand, well all i'll say about Moses is that i hear the raps people have on him and how he's gonna be a star, then i look at a kid like Jack Bird. Now that right there is a kid who is a star in the making. Idk if its just black, white and orange eyes seeing things in some of these kids that aren't there, or if some people are just genuinely bad judges.

I saw bits and pieces of Bird in the lower grades. He was good but not great. Perhaps it was only the games I watched.

moses has showed glimpses too.. maybe not this year.

what do you mean by bad judges? you think you're a better judge than others who picked moses upon years of watching football? im ok with others seeing or not seeing things in him but it's stupid to call others bad judges when they say a 20 yo aus schoolbout is a good player lol

I didn't bluntly say they were bad judges, and i didn't say my opinion was superior. I saw some glimpses last yr of Moses, but overall he's been average. I do believe however that the amount of hubub over guys like Moses and Sirro has been a little overboard from what i've seen of them.

We can all see Brooks potential in attack and cld live with the odd own goal if he actually made an effort in defence…but Moses adds very little in either department the way i see it.
Theres gotta be a better option in the club in the 6 jersey somewhere surely..and brooks needs an education that his game doesnt stop when the opposition has the ball
Wheres Benji...?

kids will come good dont you worry.

there's no experiment this is our halves pairing till at least next year, most likely till 2017.

theyll start hitting their stride next year with experience and some off season work to beef em up.

youll see glimpses now, more and more towards the end of the year.

inconsistency is EXACTLY what immaturity and inexperience means. making decisions at the right time someitmes, and not at others.

Right. By the end of 2017;

1\. Brookes will be able to tackle and stop tries due toplayers running straight at him.
2\. Moses might stop playing as if he is completely out of his depth.

Good luck Wests Tigers fans we will have something to look forward to in 2018.

Did you watch Moses and Koro from round 12, 2014 when he debuted in NSW cup?

you wouldnt have seen much in 23/24 yo like jackson, guerra, cordner etc back when they were 21 like siro- he's very good for his age. also, he's been playing 80 for half a season now in a different position to where he started.

as for moses, again much better than most others 20 yo. you can't compare him to bird- a totally different style of player- possibly in different positions too imo.

yeh we do lack experience and would benefit from signing a seasoned player but until then these kids are trying their hearts out and im happy with what im seeing.

Age has absolutely nothing to do with it..were not playing holden Cup.
This is the big time and its business…and some of these kids are simply not performing at this level regardless of whether theyre 20,30 or 40Were failing as a team & we need to address the issues.
You can carry maybe one of them ,but not 3 of them plus a centre who is incapable of making a line break

I don't know about you but I was prepared for 2015 to be a learning year for a team so young, with new management and coaching staff. Hard loss to take but they'll learn.

RE Teddy I remember clearly, he was quiet for a while when he came through.

At last someone with the guts to speak the truth.

Actually i did watch both in NSW Cup quite a bit.
My conclusion re Moses its whilst jury still undecided, his size may be a major issue in his inability to reproduce his form at the NRL level..a bit like a certain WT fullback(Mullaney)..same deal I suspect.
As for Koro, hes exhibit A as to why Potter shld have been replaced(and throw in nayovoro as well)..we cld have had the best pair of wingers in the NRL(..well..)

Pretty sure both nsw cup halves from yesterdays game are on 2nd tier contracts anyway. So it would have to be moltzen who would have to come in

Those of you calling for moltzen are kidding themselves. It's not going to happen.

those of you bagging drinkwater remember his essentially playing without front rowers at the moment. He would do better behind a decent forwArd pack.

our pack was fine yesterday in NSW Cup, drinkwater was quite average.

he would offer nothing above our current halves.

anyone who actually thinks moses and brooks are being replaced without injury has rocks in their heads.

theyre both fantastic players too, just give them time. which i guess is hard when the average memory on this forum is our previous game and nothing else.

Wow reading through these threads is an experience. We lost the game through the middle today.

It was always a 12 point breeze. I couple of better choices in attack and we would have got home.

The sun will come up in the morning.
