Surprise of the night

Pace is a wonderful thing. If anyone else in the team catches that (besides Brooks probably), we don't score.

It shows how important pace is. MWZ, Nofo or another of our backs catches it they may be brought down 40m out, its 16-0 still with 15 to go and definitely game on.

I rode him home have to say, but thought the second he got the ball Gagai would pull him down on Halfway.

I think the little jink on about the 40 metre line, and being able to watch the screen as he ran probably helped too.

For me the surprise of the night was Thompson't intercept try and the fact that Gagai couldn't run him down. Gagai is no slouch but little Thommo showed a clean pair of heels to keep him at bay.

I am sure this is a youtube clip in a Junior Kiwis v Junior Kangaroos game of Marty Tapau running down Gagai.

Said before and I’ll say it again Thompson would have to be the best buy of the season. He is deceptive, agile and much faster than what most think with a heart as big as Phar Lap’s.

Who needs speed when you have a Thommo…

I think many WT's fans turned the clock back about 45 years calling him Thommo

Mrs told me to quieten down so I must have been loud ,cheering Thommo home

He delivered a sandshoe crusher on the Wabbits

I only gotta think about we
may possibly hold A team to 0 and then they usually score a cpl

I think it was probably 20,000 'collective minds' thinking the same thing Ink.

A few minutes before they scored I said to my mates. “I’m pretty sure Wests Tigers have never kept a team to zero” and sure enough they score.

We have twice..Pamfers and Raiders…I thought of Ink last night..and yep Souff's scored.. :rant

My ears were burning…dam...but I slept well...

I’m most surprised the NRL FINALLY put a bloody microphone in the journo’s section of the pressers!!!!

Wait - this finally happened? 😱pen_mouth:

Certainly sounds like it. I mean blah blah Tigers chance of Top 8 blah blah. I don’t think people understand what I’ve just mentioned. The gravitas of the situation is untenable

Garner was the surprise pkt for me ,his defence and line running for the limited exposure to the top grade was impressive ..an off season to bulk up a bit he could have a major influence next season.

Yeah Thommo showing Gagai up was my biggest surprise of the night. I thought Gagai was up there with the fastest in the game.

Really impressed with Thompson, had one shocker against the Titans but has otherwise been fantastic.

Thommo out pacing Gagai was a surprise.

Kevi's form decline has been a surprise for me. Bombs two tries in two weeks, he is sliding off tackles. His attempt on Crichton was not good.

Other than kevi the whole teams performance has been a surprise

Kev has always been a fringe player in the NRL,to be honest i would say that this has been his best season but he is still not a first grader.
Playing with passion and heart is not enough. The ESL will suit him extremely well and he should go great at that level next year
