Adam Blair one on one with Hayne….nailed him forcing Hayne to throw a bad pass for Brooks to run away and score.

It was a huge tackle.

So many negatives that i may touch on in other threads, but for this thread, that tackle was huge.

I fail to see the negatives. Blair was great. Our forwards were huge tonight.

Lots to improve on but Farah and Tedesco were out and we won that game somehow.

You dont see any negatives?? Parra were a 20 point better team than us today. Its a HUGE win considering injuries and how we played.

So, injuries aside, i thought our line speed was terrible, Braith Anasta was absolute dirt.

We lost our way so many times in attack and im comfortable blaming Braith for 90% of it considering Luke is still so young. Thank god Austin was in the squad to add some spark.

How about Akaoula snapping that guy in cover. I think it was Akaoula.

They scored next tackle but it was a crazy good cover tackle. Though it may have been Blair again.

Blair was MOM imo.

Yeh Im with KS. It was a great win but we were poor. I thought Woods and Galloway struggled to make metres today which hurt us at times.

The Parra forwards targeted Woods and Galloway by getting up in their faces and cutting their time down. Both have slow leg speed and that's exactly what caused them both to be ineffective in Origin. Taupau, Thompson, Blair and Akauola on the other hand were given time and it cost Parramatta. Taupau continues to be incredible.

Aka had a machining game all over. If I was Lawrence I would be packing darkies knowing he is stalking him for a start.

The fact they scored next play means the tackle had no effect on the game. Also, his miss on Hayne was horrible for Parra's 2nd try.

But besides that one miss he was sensational.

What about patty saving the certain try when Rowe dropped it 10 m from the line. He even managed to make them do a knock on which saved a CERTAIN try in the dying stages.

I see some negatives but the positives were huge. We were missing 2 of our gun players and one of our forwards who has had the most impact all season went off early in the game.

Anasta was terrible and doesn't deserve a spot in the team based on performances. I thought Woods was fairly ordinary and that is a concern considering that he would be close to our highest paid forward however its not really a big issue because he wasn't terrible. Rowe doesn't look like a first grader at this point.

I still think though that as a team we were great.

That was one crucial tackle, another was Brooks on Sio in the second half as he streaked down the sideline, and the other was Akauola chopping Sandows legs from under him. The Eels scored on the next play, but that tackle was spectacular and summed up the talent Akauola has.

All top tackles, however the best for me was big Patty Richards cover tackle forcing a knock on after Sandow smashed Rowe forcing him to cough up the ball (55th minute). If Parra score, we are down 18-12 with a kick to come.

Around 4/5 sets later Sandow kicks a 40/20 (63rd minute) The following set of six, Richards intercepts a Sandow pass and takes us to a 18-14 lead.

It was a massive 10 minute period by Richards.
