The dogs can be beaten with the old fashion bash and barge the thing is the Tigers don't have that type of forward and play so all of the above is pretty much irrelevant. You have to hurt these knuckle heads to upset there rhythm other wise as we have seen they just roll over you .

The reason teams get in trouble from Barba, is because they wait to see where he is going or drift side ways on him, very few go at him. He needs to be taken going forward not by waiting for him.

If the dogs can isolate our defense and get barba one on one with anyone we're in big trouble. Structure and commitment in defense, together with field position is going to be extremely important. Tigers have to improve in pretty much every area to make a good fist of this.

Attack:
1\. Minimise Barba's kick returns. Either kick the ball dead or kick to the sideline.

From memory when we played Souths earlier in the year we did this really well against Inglis, he barely touched it for like 70 minutes. Then we gave up two tries in like 3 minutes and lost. If we can hold it for 80, the dogs are beatable.

Other teams have woken up to this with Marshall and Barba is no different.
As soon as you hang off you're in trouble.
