Just watched the Waratahs make the grand final with a few mates. All played union and league. Mostly Union, as you last longer playing union in your older years. Although it seems everyone is more passionate about their league side. There was five of us. Two Manly fans. One Parra and two Tigers.
Someone asked "Would you prefer Australia to win the Bledisloe Cup or/Waratahs in win Super Rugby or your League side to win the comp".
everyone said they'd choose their League side to win.
Which made me ask "why are we so passionate about our League sides"?
Everyone agreed League is more "tribal". And evokes something in the subconscious that makes it part of us.
I'm going on the record as saying "if the Tigers won the comp it would mean more to me than any other sporting achievement".

Was at the tah's game as well, what a sight to see big Will set up the last try, great speed and pass. He is awesome. You know, the more union I watch, the more I understand the game. I now prefer union to league & will be renewing my Tah's membership again next year. Union is definitely a tougher more physical forwards game. Go Tah's on Saturday night & go Weststigers for the remainder of the year.

I hope the Waratahs get beaten in the final, the one-eyed bias towards them in the media all season long is nauseating, even for someone that has no interest in union and just catches snippets in the media. Go the ewe-turners!

I'm a die hard League fan - always will be.
But I've been supporting the Crusaders for a few years and watching their games as long as they don't clash with the Tigers games.
Crusaders will win tomorrow night! Much more balanced style of football.
