Take a bow Grant Mayer

Blaming Mayer for the Tedesco fiasco doesn't sit well with me. Tedesco to me has to be blamed if anyone is however he is really a young kid and I think he was given some poor advice.

In the end Mayer employs the person responsible for starting this mess and Tedesco employs the other person responsible for letting it drag on.

So who is the person who started the mess inside the Tigers?

Mayer can only be judged on results, and so far the results have been OK. The club is heading in the right direction.

Thats a good summary.
Mayer isnt perfect and he has his faults, someone mentioned his rudeness to an employee in the vicinity of a member/customer….Ive seen this from him also on social media....he can be quite brash/arrogant at times
Ive seen him around but never had the inclination to go up to say Hi...Noyce was one who made people feel comfortable.
On the tedesco gig....Mayer stuck to his guns it seems, fair but firm imo....we got a great deal in the end, cannot complain with that

His next big assignment is THE move, which with the squad weve assembled and where therye at in their development...this will be an extremely crucial and important decision and must be executed to a T, for the teams sake

In regards to the Tedesco signing Mayer is an accidental hero he played hard ball and lost but won out in the end, he may have had no choice but to play hardball due to cap restrictions. All in all he has done a decent job or so it seems, but for Farah to publicly criticise him there must have been things that he should have done differently.
Remember he did infact offer Benji a substantial contract not as much as he wanted but if he accepted I don't think we would have held onto Brooks ,Moses,Simona,Tedesco ect
Personally I wouldn't have offered Benji another contract at all we fell on our feet there, don't get me wrong great legacy and all that but too many cons not enough pros.

Sometimes I wonder about the exchanges between these managers and their players, when stuff comes out in the media. I can just imagine Teddy or Benji in the past few years: "you told the papers what!?!?"
