Take your pick of rorts against us over the years

That Inu try for the Warriors in 2011 in the finals. Can't remember why but I was certain it was no try. Double movement?

Farah penalised in Golden Point in Rd26 last year for charging the field goal not square. Only us.

As much as it hurts that Inu try was fair play

If Lolzten I think it was just had a finger on him it would've been a no try

For all his faults Taylor needs to show some balls when a clear stuff up like today happened. Dead set two footballs on the field one kicked into one of our players when trying to catch a ball. The refs give us nothing and until he takes a stand on dodgy decisions they will continue to happen against us and go unchecked.

But we all know he'll say and do nothing. The fact he says and does nothing about something like this peeves me off more than the loss.

Meh… JT in the presser made a good point. You have eyes for 1 ball and you catch it. At training that would happen a spunkload. Whilst I agree it's a great stitch up, he should have taken it.

Id be more worried about the horrendous penalty count then this brain freeze.

Amongst many insane comments about today's game yours about the second ball deserves a gold logie. How many players have ever had to contend with TWO balls coming at them simultaneously in a game? I have not found much to like about Rankin, but I feel extremely sorry for him in relation to this incident. The fact Taylor has apparently downplayed it is very disappointing to say the least. It is a complete disgrace to the NRL that this occurred.

Yup, the excuses train has arrived. All aboard!!

Do I like the fact that there was a second ball on? No. Do I like it was punted at old mate when he was trying to catch it? No. Should we have been playing well enough and had enough on the score board that it should have been inconsequential? Yes.

The Gold Logie for 'Best Deflective Excuse' goes to you.

He shouldnt have even noticed the 2nd ball Pete

I wouldve loved to hear the continued dialogue between Farah & Badger after we scored, about his non penalty for the player in the ruck but 9 cut away from it.
Badger cant make the rules up as he goes along…just blatant cheating imo

Players constantly lie in the ruck and Farah constantly points this out, but the refs refuse to follow the rules of the game. Why? Because Farah dares to point out how inept they are.

This could be a really long thread…

Wake up to yourself!
Are u kidding a player should be expecting a second ball to be kicked at him? Plus only have eyes for the ball? What the? U always have to keep an eye out got players coming through and knocking u into the in goal!
Shows u know nothing about the game!
What it does show is that Taylor doesn't backup his players, and that's why they don't like him. He doesn't have their back! Every other coach does!
Time to go Taylor

The NRL wanted Newcastle to win. The game is about entertainment not football and everyone does know for years forward passes leading to tries are let go because it is about selling a product to the community just like going to the movies.

We lost the game because JT went in with a conservative team. Addo Carr on the wing would have scored from the Milone pass. Rankin was lazy, he is not a winger and was out of position. He muffed the ball leading to a try in the next set. Young Peni or Heleta could have filled the left centre position and done well.

You're phenomenal. JAC may have been in position, but would he have saved three tries that Rankin did yesterday? We didn't lose yesterday because Rankin was out of position for a pass. If everyone played with his ticker we would have won in a canter.

Actually one try would have won us the game. You also neglected to mention his miss one on one for the Knight's winger to score. Don't worry I haven't forgotten.

Oh you want to play that game? OK. I'll see your butchered try and give take three defensive misses because defense is not JAC's strong suit. Not to mention Rankin is far better a goal kicker than Moses.

If Sue and Lawrence didn't let Hodkinson stroll through, and if Moses and Naiqama didn't push passes, and if Farah didn't stifle the play, if Grant didn't get dominated, if Brooks was a halfbacks arsehole.

If, if, if, if. You're bagging one player who did his job far better than most on field. Completely unjustified and unfair.

Sigh… The train already left.

If his eyes are on the second ball, you aren't watching the one you are supposed to. There could have been a marching band, streaker, and a convoy of quad bikes being ridden by mermaids; as a winger you have 3 jobs. One of them is to catch the ball. Next people are going to complain that the defence is running toward them or that they give them a spray as someone attempts to catch it.

JT didn't drop that ball. JT didn't conceed 8 penalties. The players deserve the spray that will ensue. The time for excuses is over. The sooner people stop blaming and start offering constructive critism the better.

He didn't say a player should be expecting a 2nd ball…. Plus when youre catching a ball you don't take your eyes off it.... I know who doesn't know a whole lot about the game Latham... Its not ryan
This isn't about JT not backing his player's... It's about not accepting cop outs... Excuses... Which blaming this incident is the easy way out
No idea. Mate

You don't really believe this garbage you write, do you?

So which is it?

NRL wanted knights to win?

Or cause JT was too conservative?

It cannot be both

Of course it did. One team city travelling badly and playing a team on the slide. on a beautiful Sunday afternoon Despite what the NRL wanted and how badly some of our team played, we were a try off winning. Was the team selection by JT about trying not to lose the game? Negative tactic lost us the game.

Making a strong valid argument about a ridiculous episode that went on the field doesn't need to cost anyone $10k. Directly making an attack on a referee will. Not everyone has to go off like Ricky.

Does anyone understand this rubbish?

Blaming the refs all the time is the problems with this team most of the time, soon as something doesn't go there way they fall apart the GOOD teams don't do that

@Eddie said:
You guys have not even mentioned the worst one.

In 2004 Souths scored a Golden point when the refs failed to blow for halftime after 5 minutes.

They just kept playing to the same end and Souths got a field goal about 8 minutes in.

Um… You might need to read through the above posts again...

Just a short list, feel free to add your own

°Broncos scoring a try against us whilst having 14 men on the field.
°Broncos getting a benefit of the doubt decision in 2004 after Pat Richards scores what would have been the game winning try- benefit of the doubt was created to go to the attacking team at the time.
°Todays sham where 2 balls on the field and 1 was even kicked in the direction of our player catching the ball.
I'm sure that there have been more than these examples, #####ng sick of being shafted by these corrupt p####s that is the NRL and their knobhead referees.

Yeah the no try v The Broncos in 2004 was a weird one

The try I think Senter scored just beforehand was far less a try than the Richards try

The Richards try at worst was simultaneous

14 man try , which one was that FTB ??
