Could these people have something to do with the Tigers not having more of a footprint in Cambo?

Hasn't there always been some sort of tension between Macarthur and Ashfield, going back 40 years?

And does it still continue?

With the self servers at the top of the HB Group - How could it possibly.....
😂😂😂

Was a period where the Wests JRLFC was disassociated from the Senior Footy Club....
By another self serving dictatorship - if you believe what you read....

didn't they ask the juniors back, under THE plan,as a useless 1 vote, with the hope of them tipping money in/future,.WT has pumped some money into that region lately - all is not grim

It's really about seizing the opportunity to restore the Wests Magpies. It's also about stacking the board with people amenable to that idea. These people have been climbing their way up into these spots for like 35 years... They're nuts.

Julie Romero's now deceased partner Peter Hardgrove was Chairman when WestsTigers won the comp back in 2005 with Steve Noyce as CEO.
He delivered success that Julie seems to want but MAN is she going the wrong way about it. The power has gone to her head.

I don't know about the other two (of the banned directors) but Rick Wayde would NEVER do anything to damage the club. He's a Rugby League guy through & through, not a Bowls Club Rugby League wannabe. You couldn't ask for someone in management so dedicated to the club's success on & off the field.

The only reason I can think of him getting banned is he must of been caught plotting to get rid of the dead wood boffins with no clue how to achieve on field success to go along with rivers of gold flowing into Ashfield & it's vassal clubs.

NRL 2025: Wests Tigers owners Holman Barnes Group bans three directors from venues as board war erupts

A dramatic boardroom spat has developed at the majority owners of the Wests Tigers after three Holman Barnes Group board members were sensationally banned from entering venues owned by the corporation.

A dramatic boardroom brawl has developed at the owners of the Wests Tigers after three board members were sensationally banned from entering any venue under the control of the Holman Barnes Group.
Staff were issued a club-wide email obtained by this masthead, which states that long-term board members Tony Andreacchio and Rick Wayde, plus fellow board member and ex-Cricket NSW CEO David Gilbert, were “excluded from entering the club and all club premises”.
The email doesn’t explain why the trio have been banned.
Aside from owning the Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group operates three clubs including Wests Ashfield, Croydon Sports and Markets Club.
The email – sent by Holman Barnes Group’s executive manager of HR and culture, Michelle Nielsen, names the trio and states that they are excluded from entering “the club’s bars, restaurants, gyms, archives and carpark across all three Holman Barnes Group venues”.
“Should any of these gentlemen attempt to access the club or any of its facilities please notify the venue manager who should kindly ask them to leave,” Nielsen wrote.
“The venue manager should then report the incident directly to our CEO Simon Cook.”

As is director Tony Andreacchio.

As is director Tony Andreacchio.
And director Rick Wayde.

And director Rick Wayde.
Andreacchio and Wayde have previously served on the board.
Gilbert is the Holman Barnes Group’s representative on the Tigers board after sweeping changes to the structure of the club last year which resulted in chief executive Justin Pascoe and chairman Lee Hagipantelis being removed from their respective positions.
Gilbert and Andreacchio were uncontactable on Thursday night while Wayde would not comment.
However, it is understood the trio have taken legal advice over the decision, setting the scene for a legal bunfight involving powerbrokers within the Tigers’ majority owner.
Cook and Holman Barnes chair Julie Romero have also been approached for comment.
Romero replaced Andreacchio as chair in April.
It is understood the trio are on one side of the fractured Holman Barnes Group board, with three other directors aligned with Romero.
The Tigers have been embroiled in boardroom ructions for some time, in part because Holman Barnes Group directors were not on the same page.

The Tigers have been protected — to an extent — from the drama within their ownership, although Gilbert is currently a member of the revised Tigers board after the club underwent governance reform that led to former NSW premier Barry O’Farrell becoming the Tigers’ new chair.
The Tigers are currently in the process of forming a new board with the vast majority of independent directors after a review of the club’s structure recommended that the Holman Barnes Group give up their stranglehold on the club’s board. Only last week did the Tigers advertise for independent non-executive directors.

The fear is that drama within the Holman Barnes Group will filter into the Tigers’ operations, causing instability as second-year coach Benji Marshall and chief executive Shane Richardson attempt to steady a ship that has been sinking for nearly a decade.

It needs to be said - Wests Tigers will NEVER be successful while the self-serving Wests Magpies loyalist arse-hats are running the joint!!
Without the financial backing from HBG Wests Tigers would not be able to operate independently.

On field success can only come from the Football department ( Wests Tigers).
When it comes down to the HBGroup ,it's their financial support that keep the Football side functioning,it would make more sense that the debenture holders of HBGroup to be more vigilant about the successful operations of all the clubs, they have a financial stake in operations. The three directors that have been removed are not debenture holders. One of the directors that made the decision to remove the three is a Barrister so pretty confident that he has recognised something untoward.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that to some extent. I think the club is close to being self-sufficient these days.

But the funds are from the community and the directors are custodians, not owners. There is should be no allowance for self-interest. Everything should be done with a lense of the best for the community and the value of their assets.

I would argue that they are doing neither.
