Tallyn Da Silva #270

Man if the best hooker your team has produced in 40 years is reed mahoney , with the geo footprint the eels have.....i mean i stand by my comment !
we are the shittest team in the comp , and currently have Simpkins , Liddle , TDS , playing nrl out of our development system . Harry Grant took a huge leap the year he was with us as well... not sure how much that has to do with us though . Chuck in guys like Farah , Isaac DE Gois , Senter , Mescia , Sedaris , Backdoor Benny . thats both foundation clubs in the time we are talking about . like i said i stand by my comment

Is your point that Moses stunts the growth of hookers or is it that Parra can’t produce hookers? You have me lost

Would be happy to get Walters (or even Simpson at a pinch) to provide a backup for Api. I was a little disappointed that TDS left but he reminds me a bit of Liddle who took a long time to develop but lacks the craft of a top class dummy half and is a little one dimensional in his game.
Walters is an interesting player , he is a very good defender, I think he could fill our hunt for a lock , has good ball skills can play 80 minutes, and is very tuff

Instead of being patient & learning from one of the best 9s in the comp , maybe fast tracking his rise to first grade will actually stunt the longevity of his nrl career .
He was starting to dominate cup and bringing a bit of impact off the bench at NRL level. He's still a year or two off so Benji and Richos timeframe for him was spot on I reckon. Good luck to him anyway

I’m Tallyn’s biggest fan but yeah, his twenty minutes wasn’t great yesterday. Ran from dummy half on the last and threw two passes into the turf - copped a big spray. As Moses said after the game, he’ll learn from that.

Anyone who thinks (or should I say, hopes) that the three mistakes yesterday will define his career - yeah nah !

#IMHO 🤔

It just doesnt seem to a be a position they have had much talent in for as long as Moses has been there. Mahoney being the best of them but still a very steak and veg hooker.

That might be by design of their cap where in the past they load up on other spine positions and the hookers job is to quote mitch moses yesterday "pass the halves the fkn ball". Begs the question is it the best place for TDS to reach his full potential?

Geez, I think you’re underselling Reed Mahoney.

He was a gun back in his Parra days - that pass from the ground was like a tracer bullet.

Two mounds of mash and lashings of gravy
on that steak n veg 👍

Tds did not leave because of API or opportunity. He was made ridiculous promises and money from past people not at the club, but their fingers are still there.

maybe steak and veg at a 5 star restaurant, but still steak and veg.

Give me a cam smith italian/japanese fusion, a spicy mexican Api or some mediterranian farah any day

Grass isn't always greener....
Couple things he didn’t know before he went to eels ,
1 Mosses is all about Mosses and he is king , anyone coming to Parra needs to fall in line and do what he says .
2 , new kid on the block with big raps and doesn’t go well , mosses spray shows how it is , TDS will either come good or become a reserve grader at eels , I predict reserve grader , and I was a fan , but out of his comfort zone he is way down on nrl level ,
