It's hard to know what is correct. The new salary cap means that things like the long serving player allowance may not even exist or could be different in some capacity. We still don't know what the collective bargaining agreement looks like.

I think it’s better for Jake to get some minutes in the legs especially if Api is out next week with SOO.

Think this makes sense given we will be relying on Simpkin to pump big minutes during origin 2 and 3 when we play during the big bye weeks.

Also makes sense after Sheens implied that he expected Simpkin to last longer last week and he said he basically had to bring on Koro earlier than he had hoped.

2 points for each time we've been ripped off in, which should have us around the top of the table.

Long serving player allowance should apply to each player that qualifies and not be limited to just one instance per club.

One club players and clubs that support juniors long term should be rewarded for doing so by getting a bit of a cap bonus as an incentive for keeping those players long term.

Just my thought anyway.

Just goes to show how important it is for young players to be in a good environment. Simpkin is a great talent that played for QLD u19 with Reece Walsh, the hammer and others, but he came through under Madge at a critical time and hasn't really recovered.

I'd say it's a very strong chance they are shopping him around with TDS and mini-cheese coming through the ranks. Feel sorry for him though and hope he gets a shot at another club and is able to develop.

I remember watching him in Reggie’s and he was unreal really hoping he can find that form again even if it’s not with us he seems like a great guy

If true - Goes to show this generations mentality - why wouldn’t you want to learn of one of the best hookers in the game atm. Especially when you’re only 20-21.

That said, sheens has been here 18 months and I’ve not really heard him talk much on Simpkin at all…
DaSilva on the other hand - been banging on about him basically the whole time…

Make any young fella in the same position uncomfortable
