I tried supporting Benji as a coach, but his brains are in his backside and his arrogance in most interviews paints a picture as to the likely reason he gets offside with so many people.
 
I’ve already voted for TDS.

Benji might lose the changeroom if he angers the cult of the panthera amongst the ranks.

He’s probably already too emotionally involved in team affairs as it is. When he started carrying on about his love for the side, and how proud he was…

I’m not sure how other fans cope without the ongoing soap opera and drama that we get each day.

At least it’s a distraction from losing.

We do, but by the law of averages we should get things right half of the time.

Benji is at 30% win rate with just about all the squad he wanted.

Terrell is our best player and the giant magpie in the sky dropped him on us by complete accident.

That’s a relief.

I’m not to the point of the end is nigh for 25, but I can’t see a way out atm.

My only great white hope is that Romey appears to have woken from his massive contract hangover. Then again, if skels is selected tomorrow, all bets are off.

Yeah, Terrell is still my favourite player.

He probably hasn’t cottoned on that we live in a perpetual crisis here. Oblivious to it. Like you lol.

The frustration with club affairs is a way of life.

Benji seems really unhappy, new depths unhappy.

Because he benched TDS ? lol the kid was only on the bench in case luai couldn’t make the 80 … so api-7 tds 9 . Otherwise it would have been Sukkar . I’m sure in hindsight Benji would have gone Sukkar and brought off seyfart . Other clubs benched and rested thier stars . We didn’t have the luxury .

Yes I agree but if both players are wanting an extension now for 2028, wouldn’t one of them be given a sense of priority over the other?

So maybe they can put caveats or benchmarks in there contracts outlining a pathway for TDS to be the number one hooker.

So as long as API is happy to take a pay cut then fine but I’d be surprised if API would be up for that considering other possibilities.

I'm not so sure - it depends on how the deal is structured. Richo and Benji need to put forward a plan where both have the opportunity to stay. Api and Tallyn are probably at the point where there can be big $ over the short term with new franchises opening up. Without knowing what we have coming in the door we need to look at the short and long term goals of the organisation. Who is the best fit for a title shot in 26/27? That is what we are looking at; results now as opposed to results in 28/29 or in ten years time.

It is a hard decision and I'm pretty sure the club wants to keep both players - it makes sense. I don't have TDS in front at this point in time and his game, while good, still needs development. On the other hand Api is getting towards the end of his career and he will know that.

Richo has salary cap management options to work a deal that could have Api taking a haircut in 27/28 so there is a deal to be made that keeps them both. The real issue is how they perceive sharing the role over that period. Clearly if one or the other is outperforming then the other will need to bide their time - it is a risk either way.

Tallyn is a long term prospect but there are others in the pipeline that may fit with the plans for Api. Whatever the outcome I think we will be well served in the short term - the problem is what is the better long term option TDS or Haywood (or another recruit)?

If you read and believe this exchange, suggestions of a "transition" plan are worthless.

Serving an apprenticeship was suggested by Tallis at the link -

Loyalty is important. Koroisau has been loyal to the WTs, is the best hooker at the club by far and in return Marshall is loyal to Koroisau. No doubt teammates are watching closely. Does the club dump Koroisau for Da Silva, a player of potential? Or do they stick with one of the best hookers in the NRL and go with a transition plan for the next dummy half in the Pathways system?
