Tallyn Da Silva #270

Richo needs to work some magic with this one imo. There has to be a solution to keep both players content with a club team priority.
Unless something changes drastically (benjis attitude) compare to last friday i cant see richo doing anything.
Hopefully he read benji the riot act on saturday

I guess well.see.in.30 minutes i doubt helbe named this week which if happens is infuriating

Not sure whether its a $$ issue ..or an opportunity to finally shine
Probably a bit of both
Weve got plenty of dead wood to fund the $$...but realistically we cant expect him to wait another 3 years serving his apprentiship
Apis been great..and still is..but had a lot of wear and tear at multiple clubs, which needs to be taken into account if we truly think TDS is the next big thing
Offsetting all that theres a once very promising no 9 in the last months of a jail sentence..its been a while, but joining his brothers blah blah. His minimum sentence sees him out of jail March next year..less time served in detention beforehand
And if Selim Mahejir can get an early release...!
Cant help but think this is part of our otherwise incomprehensivble agenda re TDS

While I would like to keep him, realistically there are clubs who have or will offer starting roles and more $. Richardson is also being very fair in allowing him to test the market.
He is, but it sends the wrong message as well.
Im pretty disillusioned by all this crap.
Rather we stop pretending to be a development club and just get better at recruitment.

Because I'm more concerned about the next ten years, rather then the one in 2027

You might get something out of Api in 2027, might, but unlikely in 2028

And this loyalty thing, remember, he does it because he's getting paid very well.

And if he's so loyal, he can take a pay cut

The cult of the Api has got you lined up for their next human sacrifice.

Here, bite into this rubber Sharon, it won’t hurt a bit.

Got news for you champ and it is all bad, Benji will be here for the long haul Richo ain't getting rid of him.
It’s not the ceos call.

A board sacking would leave Richo and his admin with clean hands.

And with Des about to hit the market…

Heath at fullback..

This is a tough one. TDS has been serving his apprenticeship since 2023 and would likely be ready to start in 2027. We can’t lose another promising junior after losing Large and Galvin.

I love Api and he’s still very good and will probably still be very good next year but he’s showing signs of slowing down. He will be 34 by the end of next season. Extend him but I’d be telling to get ready to be a super interchange.

Benji decision making lately has been pretty troubling. What kind of message does it send when TDS is killing it in reserve grade, performs well in 1sts and yet is sitting on the bench for the entire 80? Especially when you see that fraud Seyfarth dishing out dog shit performances on a weekly basis yet is given an automatic starting gig.

sheens made empty promises to the Harold Matt’s kids that aren’t being fulfilled hence why they are all leaving , all got top 30 deals way too young and were promised jerseys they didn’t work for , at least tallyn in some way had worked for his just unfortunate we might lose him , he genuinely loved the club
I had a feeling the problem may of been what Sheens and MacDonald sold to them before leaving the club… not sure if it’s true but makes some sense.

The optimist in me is hoping that Richo has allowed TDS to test his market to determine fair his value. Then Tigers get the right to respond and if close enough do a deal that shows him enough money (soon to be able to be established) and a path to starting.

To be fair to TDS and Tigers they don’t currently know what TDS is sacrificing to stay. Soon they will.

Also says a lot that clubs doing significantly better than us are trying to sign our juniors while we prioritise older guys...
Benji has decided the short game is best for his career so the overall focus is putting his money on mainly seniors in key positions for more Instant results and credibility. Hasn’t really worked thus far has it !

Favouritism you think, or inability to coach the team correctly ?

If they were winning us games you’d slightly understand it.

Yes.

It seemed to be the broad plan that we could piggyback on the success of the panthers and deploy some of their stars in the service of the Wests Tigers. I think the dogs have also had a similar route.

Some might find a thread of logic in this approach.

Then we add the recommendations from stats lady.

Then strangely, our best player per pound, Terrell, arrives by freak chance.

Of course, credit to Benji and Richo for telling him everything he wants to hear!

“Yes, yes and yes. No, you don’t have to play if you don’t feel like it. Robbo doesn’t appreciate you…”

He was easily influenced and we jagged it.

Taylan is another panthera, but unplanned and a the act of giant magpie bearing gifts category, like his brother.

We didn’t like his interview, we started losing and then he’s signed in 2 seconds flat.

Business as usual, everythings under control. I love this club.
