Tallyn Da Silva #270

I can cop losing this guy next year. He is not Benny Elias mk2. He has quite a bit of development to do before he is considered a significant loss.

What I cannot cop is letting him go early without some sort of compensation. Next week, we are most likely to have Hope and Murray sharing the hooking duties. In a year where we are very much in spoon territory, Hope and Murray sharing the hooking role pretty much secures the spoon for us. While I don't rate De'Silva that much, he is a shit load better than the other two. A spoon will have to have some sort of fallout with Benji likely to go (which would be a good thing). A spoon will also put huge pressure on Richo.

Remember Richo always says don't believe it until the club sends members an email. I am sure there will be some sort of transfer fee to cover the next 18 months payable to the club when all parties sit down to finalise tomorrow.

Richo probably told Tartak (TDS' manager) that we would be happy to release immediately if the new club pays us X amount (probably similar to Galvins so maybe around the $150K) & Parra would have been aware in negotations with Tartak.

How do you know what the deal is? De Silva wasn’t prepared to be second in line behind Api.

$150k well thats a relief

I just don't understand the need to release him now.
Api is out next week, after TDS the next hookers are of Canterbury rd quality or even worse.
Especially not signing anyone else prior to June 30.
Our bench and depth are thin as and the transfer means nothing.
At least sign some gun assistant for Benji.
I am just lost and Richo better surprise me with something positive and not the crappy spin.

I wonder how much outrage there'd be if Penrith let go of Luke Sommerton or Trent Toelau !? 😂
The difference is Penrith didn’t hype these guys up to be the saviours of the club like we have. Last year Richo said the team would be built around Lachlan Galvin, Tallyn da Silva & Heamasi Makasini and in the space of a couple of months we’ve seen two of those guys leave for nothing.
