Tallyn Da Silva #270

The outlay required to keep him was too great after retaining Koroisau. He's talented but not worth the money his manager was asking. We did the right thing by his manager by releasing him to take up the opportunity. HIs manager has quite a few clients at our club so I am optimistic we will see a very good young player headed our way.

I'm sure your park footy in front of 13 people is comparable.
😅😅 you a family member or family friend?

That is the point of a forum. The point im making is its easy to write off a kid based on 5 high pressure minutes from the sidelines.

Who's written him off?
Ive said the spray was deserved.
Ive said we made the right choice keeping API because TDS doesn't look even close to ready.. and that's based on my experience playing in front of 9 ppl, not 13.

The TDS hate feels so forced. Like some want to paint him as badly as Galvin, but the truth is there is no comparison.
Don't think it's hate G we have just had a gutful of these players that are not all in on where the club needs to get to.

If they show that they don't want to be here or are too impatient to bide their time well the unanimous feeling should be to piss off somewhere else.

In my experience of playing park footy in front of 9 people if anyone carried on like Moses it would of been on for all money, teammate or not. I've seen teammates go at it for a hell of a lot less 🤣

I still don't think the spray was that bad lol

Ive also never seen or heard of team mates turning on each other in the middle of a game like that either.. with the other team for talking sh1t, sure, but team mates, never

He certainly is copping it, this from the SMH today...

"The sight of Parramatta hooker Tallyn Da Silva trying to milk a penalty late in the game on Sunday night was one of the most embarrassing things witnessed in the NRL this season."
That article is disgusting. The number of players who have milked penalties this year is astronomical yet the clown picks that particular incident with TDS to bring it up. And for the record he got hit high and was entitled to a penalty except the gutless referee wanted to stage manage the finish.

Chemapion @diedpretty - can't agreee more.
Like, all matches seem to have times when the ref "chooses" a 6 again, or pick up an off-side, or a play the ball misdemeanor, or anything - just so as to "control" the game outcomes.
We've suffered it so many times.
Listening to Coach Hage explain it, there would appear a bias favoring the so-called better teams against the rest.
The old days of expecting fair play are shot.
And if we see it, what do the players and coaches feel?

Maybe I just have a high tolerance for what I have copped/seen/dished out in the past 😅😅 because I still don't think it was that bad considering the mistakes he made.. and I've never seen or heard of team mates turning on each other in the middle of a game, that's unheard of!

Mitchell Moses personality on display - he is reactive to every action that doesnt go his way. He argues with every refereeing decision - has absolutely no objectivity. In a situation where he needed his hands on the ball Tallyn totally misread who he was dealing with. How that impacts on them moving forward will depend on how Tallyn gets over it - cause he will cop it again if he is silly enough to try and take control when the game is on the line.
As a fan don't have to like the way Moses reacted - but also don't want a kid trying to take control when all he had to do was get the ball to the player that the team needed to take control.

I think calling him a fkn C* is probably a bit over the top and way beyond what I would call a justified spray...I played the game for a number of years and never heard anyone give a spray like that. There is something else going on there with TDS. Moses might win them games, however he will never win them a premiership.
I thought he got off light

All good in the hood
Hopefully for TDS sake he has a better game this week

I Didn’t read the article but didn’t Moses take a bit of a dive trying to get a penalty in that same game. They all do it

Yah whole thing has been blown up.

Also, TDS didn't leave because he thought he was ready to start. He left for more minutes in the hope of becoming a starter faster - which is definitely more of a chance when he's not stuck behind one of the best hookers in the game. He made that decision and took that gamble, not sure why we have to death ride it.

I actually see him coming back to the club, not after failing - but after becoming a more complete hooker.

I like TDS and would have hoped he stayed to learn from API, however he has done what he feels best for his careering more money than what we were prepare to offer and we can build our squad with his dollars . I feel that the tackle did hit him in the head, however it was poor to look at the ref and then grab his forehead afterwards. Moses I have no time since he tanked when playing with us and he continues to wave his arms around with every issue he sees be it for or against. So whilst talented he is a sook.

It will blow over by tomorrow, however if it was us it would be front page for the whole week.

I agree, it was completely too much. Moses doesn’t like him.
TDS shouldn’t have made that decision but the use of the c word wasn’t justified.

Some reactions on here are way over the top.

Don’t care what mistakes he made the way Moses carried on towards TDS was crap.

Moses is a SOO/Rep quality player he is meant to be a leader at the Eels and was totally disrespectful. People complained about the Tigers post try celebration but Moses going off is a terrible example onfield for the kids to watch.

Moses hasn’t acted that way to the extent he did to TDS towards others and that club has been struggling for a few seasons now.
