OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May

Elite? That’s a bit of a stretch. In any case, are you really advocating for a player who hasn’t played the game in over a year to just waltz into the side? There’s something called match fitness which is pretty important when playing in the NRL. Besides all that, our backs are going ok, it’s our forwards that desperately need bolstering.
Can he play lock ?

That video tiny released before he went into rehabilitation was pretty concerning, really felt like he still wasn't grasping the situation his life is in.

We can only hope rehab has given him some perspective, and he fully appreciates the last chance he has been given by the nrl.

I think this is the perfect season to give him a shot, as expectations are low in terms of results. See how it goes.
It's a risk you would take especially with his brother at the club.

I just hope more then anything he sorts out his mental issues.

Richo is just managing expectations with that timeframe. You dont think that he'll come into the side if he's ready earlier? Of course he will.

If we start put no weight on training and earning a spot, and instead just focus on pure ability, what kind of team do you think we'll end up with?
Yeah he is just taking pressure off the player, the team and coach by giving everyone some time to see how and where he is going to slot in.

He’s an elite Samoan international, astonishing power and speed and we need him in the side yesterday.

“Slow and steady wins the race” does not apply to footy these days.

And it’s no mystery that we came close and some say should have beaten the panthers after Benji “grew some” and started swinging the axe.

We can only pray he ends the “next week” policy and keeps the bloodied heads of the incompetent or holiday makers bouncing into the wicker basket.

Our season is pretty much on the line in the coming few weeks.

We should have the courage to have a swing and if we don’t win, go down fighting.

Taylan should be rostered straight into the side without further ado.

We all know, we usually wait until the fat prop has sung. We have to break from lose-fest and the accompanying months of off season regret.

And let’s not forget the positive impact of his appointment on the rest of the side. The cult of the panthera, whom he grew up playing with, his magnificent brother, the adoption by JL and API.

He will go a long way to completing us as a side, not to mention strike fear and doubt into our opponents.

Bring on Taylan now, die on our feet if we need to.

I reckon this is who we are and this is what we stand for.

I’ve read what all the experts say, dot the I’s and cross those T’s….. but footy is often a game of feelings and instincts.

This is such an occasion. It’s beyond obvious, it’s a gift and opportunity.

If I stand alone in this prayer, or with a few compassionate and prescient colleagues in the forum -so be it.

If our boss had bothered to look at the ladder recently he’d say

“ He’ll be at least 3 or 4 hours training before he plays. Then obviously he’ll be in the backline next weekend.”

I mean I’d prefer to see him play this season Richo.

This years campaign is over without him.
Saying he’s 3-4 weeks away takes the expectations away
If he’s showing he’s ready sooner do you really think they will not play him

We wouldn’t know given the fog machine our beloved club operates 24/7.

And the rallying calls of Benji to “ trust the process” What process is that Benji?

3 big signings ?

Either the women’s side or one of our big signings was wandering around Redfern oval with Wayne Bennett a few weeks ago!

I’m not going to trust in any process when our coaching regime on wins etc is far and away, the worst in the game.

We need to admit we are pretty much broken at the moment. The club won’t admit it. They never do. They think that if they keep sending the message that all is well, we will believe them.

And if things are bad, well we have to mix things up a bit.

So I’ve got no problems arguing that if we sign an elite and competent footy player, we don’t waste his talent in second grade (where he might get injured).

I’m sounding the alarm, because I don’t want another wasted season, false expectations and rubbish justifications afterwards.

We are in terrible trouble, we need to own that and drag Taylan into the squad pronto.

Otherwise his contract will be up before his spoonbowl appearance. Run out in the 70th minute at 0-60 or whatever.

I encourage those afflicted to abandon the echo chamber and join the coalition of the willing.

Let’s get this wonderful player on the park, winning games for the mighty Wests Tigers.

The only club that counts and the only club that means anything.
